First Proper Look At Sentinel On X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST Set
Bryan Singer ("Superman Returns") has just tweeted a new behind-the-scenes image of an 18-foot Sentinel. Check out this immense robotic guardian that was built by Legacy Effects.
Sentinels made their debut in 1965, X-Men #14. They were created by Bolivar Trask, a man that believed mutants, with their superior powers, would end up conquering the human race, eventually enslaving them. To prevent that he built Sentinels, giant robots with autonomy and self-consciousness. To help churn out these bad boys Bolivar built "Master Mold," a giant Sentinel-shaped factory, that manufactured Sentinels. At some point the Sentinels become too powerful and Trask has a change of heart, so he sacrifices himself to put an end to his creation.
X-Men: Days Of Future Past will be directed by Bryan Singer ("Usual Suspects"). The cast includes: Hugh Jackman, James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence, Patrick Stewart, Michael Fassbender,, Ian McKellen, Nicholas Hoult, Omar Sy, Peter Dinklage, Halle Berry, Adan Canto, Fan Bingbing, Anna Paquin, Evan Peters, Daniel Cudmore, Ellen Page and Booboo Stewart.
