If you're one of the few people that haven't seen The Hunger Games: Catching Fire yet, do so. It's a terrific film. One highlight, is when it comes time for Katniss Everdeen (portrayed by Jennifer Lawrence) meet the Gamemakers for her private training session, she comes across a painting of Rue (Amandla Stenberg) that Peeta (played by Joshua Hutcherson) had created in his private training session. It's a rather sweet gesture as Katniss is still emotionally connected to the brave 12-year-old female tribute from District 11 that was killed in the previous film.

THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE begins as Katniss Everdeen has returned home safe after winning the 74th Annual Hunger Games along with fellow tribute Peeta Mellark. Winning means that they must turn around and leave their family and close friends, embarking on a "Victor's Tour" of the districts. Along the way Katniss senses that a rebellion is simmering, but the Capitol is still very much in control as President Snow prepares the 75th Annual Hunger Games (The Quarter Quell) - a competition that could change Panem forever.

THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE is directed by Francis Lawrence, and produced by Nina Jacobson’s Color Force in tandem with producer Jon Kilik. The novel on which the film is based is the second in a trilogy that has over 50 million copies in print in the U.S. alone. Opens on November 22, 2013.

I haven't seen this yet but I hope peeta dies. Josh Hitcherson is just a terrible wooden actor. I don't know how he gets work...

And that's coming from a harsh critic

I LOVED this movie. I thought the first one was OK, but this one blows the first one out of the water.

It's 100x better.
BooYah - 11/26/2013, 4:39 PM
Wait Peeta drew that mural on the floor? Why was Katnis so angry when she saw it then?
ndwwrestler2 - 11/26/2013, 5:16 PM
@BooYah I don't think she knew. I didn't know either.
I really thought they were trying to mess with her.
GURILLAPUD - 11/26/2013, 6:13 PM
The Hunger Games books sucked ass but catching fire was the best out of the three, and thats really not saying much. I really don't know how they are going do the third book, it was bad, I mean like Dark Knight Rise bad.
TheSoulEater - 11/26/2013, 6:20 PM
The movie's amazing!

@BooYah and @ndwwrestler2 In the book Peeta painted Rue as a sign of rebellion. He wanted to hold the Gamemakers accountable for killing Rue. It was his own way of saying FU to the Capitol. Katniss saw the mural and it inspired her to stage her own small rebellion by hanging an effigy of Seneca Crane, the head Gamemaker in the last movie. She wanted to show them they are not as powerful as they think they are. Hope that answers your question.

Hands down best movie of 2013... and this is coming from someone who watched Man of Steel 5 times
ndwwrestler2 - 11/26/2013, 11:15 PM
@lea Thanks for clearing that up. Although she did seem more pissed than inspired in the film. But inspired makes more sense.

I finally got around to watching the first movie a week ago. I thought it was pretty good.

I never read the books, so I didn't know Rue would be killed. That was so sad.

@Gusto Who are you kidding? You very well know if you thought The Hunger Games was like Twilight, you would have seen it opening day. ;P
