Jupiter Ascending will land in theaters July 25th, 2014

JUPITER ASCENDING - Jupiter Jones (Mila Kunis) was born under a night sky, with signs predicting that she was destined for great things. Now grown, Jupiter dreams of the stars but wakes up to the cold reality of a job cleaning toilets and an endless run of bad breaks. Only when Caine (Channing Tatum), a genetically engineered ex-military hunter, arrives on Earth to track her down does Jupiter begin to glimpse the fate that has been waiting for her all along – her genetic signature marks her as next in line for an extraordinary inheritance that could alter the balance of the cosmos.

Good for Tatum to not follow the McConaughey route with rom-coms and to work with respectable auteurs like Soderbergh, Bennett Miller, Wachowskis, etc
NOLANITE - 12/8/2013, 11:43 PM
Tired of all these teasers!!
Who started that trend?!
They need to be shot!

NOLANITE OUT
P862010 - 12/8/2013, 11:44 PM
^one is not like the others
nailbiter111 - 12/8/2013, 11:45 PM
NOLANITE - I hate teaser for teasers but this isn't one of those. It's just an ET preview to get viewers of the tv show to tune in to the next episode.

The Fuq.
Tyrus - 12/8/2013, 11:49 PM
Wow!

This is going to be a terrible movie!
ALmazing - 12/8/2013, 11:49 PM
@Reasonnnn.McConaughey is starting in Nolan's interstellar. Hasn't everything Tatum has done after Magic Mike has flopped?
NOLANITE - 12/8/2013, 11:55 PM
Well its a cheap gimmick I would say.
Do it to insterstellar and I might be sold.
ALmazing - 12/8/2013, 11:58 PM
Also, the only reason I would be interested in watching this film is to see how Sean Bean gets killed.

bonesmcgee - 12/9/2013, 12:01 AM
@reasonnn Keep in mind that Matthew McConaughey has learned his lesson years ago, and has followed up with critical acclaim with his work in The Lincoln Lawyer, Mud, Magic Mike and Dallas Buyers Club which could earn him an Oscar nom.

Also, he's going to be in Wolf of Wall Street and Interstellar. Not a bad comeback.
bonesmcgee - 12/9/2013, 12:01 AM
@tankd You seem to be a bitter person to dislike Mila Kunis.
loki668 - 12/9/2013, 12:05 AM
Can we, please, just once, get through a [frick]ing film without killing Sean Bean?? Did he piss off a studio head? Did he lose a bet? It's getting to a point where, we'll be so used to him dying that, when it really happens, people will say things like "Meh. I've seen it before." This will be followed by Grif saying "Shit death. Liked the one in Lord of the Rings better."
KidGoku - 12/9/2013, 12:06 AM
@bonesmcgee pretty much nailed it
AgentEX - 12/9/2013, 12:20 AM
Laughing at the guy calling this a terrible movie after what, ten seconds of footage?
nailbiter111 - 12/9/2013, 12:20 AM
I'm starting to like Channing Tatum. He was much better in his last few films: This Is The End (cameo), 21 Jump Street, Magic Mike and G.I. Joe: Retaliation. Not saying he is great, but he isn't as awful as I thought he was. He's improved. And Mila Kunis? She's yummy. Not a great actress, but very likable.
AgentEX - 12/9/2013, 12:22 AM
@nailbiter111 check out 10 Years. It's a really good film with Tatum.
AgentEX - 12/9/2013, 12:22 AM
Even though Oscar Isaac steals the show in that one.
bonesmcgee - 12/9/2013, 12:25 AM
Haha thank you!
Equivocal - 12/9/2013, 12:31 AM
I just can't see why somebody idolize this woman...

Reasonnnn - 12/9/2013, 1:07 AM
@bonesmcgee I know, KILLER JOE and MAGIC MIKE are the shit, but i'm talking about after his post-View to a Kill films early-late 2000s
pro346 - 12/9/2013, 1:07 AM
if its half as good as the matrix it will be the best movie of the year!
Reasonnnn - 12/9/2013, 1:08 AM
EDIT: LOL typo, I mean A Time to Kill in 1996.
pro346 - 12/9/2013, 1:08 AM
I watched mud back to back with that turd iron man 3....mud was amazing!
MightyZeus - 12/9/2013, 1:27 AM
Those two actors along with the plot seems like it's going to be a disaster.
ManCalledSting - 12/9/2013, 2:02 AM
I think Tatum has become a decent actor. Good to see him in something different.
Jobu - 12/9/2013, 2:28 AM
Looks like he has elfish/Spock ears in this movie. I still hate him but his 30 second cameo in This is the End, was terrific.
whoa123 - 12/9/2013, 2:34 AM
@loki- well he didn't die in Mirror Mirror haha
nowtheresaBATman - 12/9/2013, 2:58 AM
minus the chin scruff I almost wanna say he look's more like Duke should've.
sameoldthing - 12/9/2013, 3:01 AM
hmm..Both of them are attractive types with very limited acting ability.
Think I will watch a movie that has quality actors & not this weakness.
nowtheresaBATman - 12/9/2013, 3:02 AM
@Equivical
You sure that's Mila? Looks just like this chick from housekeeping at the Hotel I work for lol
BloodredNemesis - 12/9/2013, 3:58 AM
Channing Tatum is such a bad actor. Anything with him in it puts me off straight away. The kid just acts the same in every flick - all gangster. Innit
MoonDoggyX - 12/9/2013, 4:00 AM
Is it me, or is this the same plot from MEN in Black 2...?
marvel72 - 12/9/2013, 4:11 AM
it showed f*ck all,but from the title alone it sounds promising.
marvel72 - 12/9/2013, 4:15 AM
@ pro346

way to go bringing up iron man 3 in a non related thread.

you sir are a genius. (sarcasm)
JasonGrayson77 - 12/9/2013, 4:55 AM
Deal with it or don't watch it. No they're no the best bunch of actors but get over it. I'm so tired of haters.
JoJo1982 - 12/9/2013, 5:12 AM
@loki

Well atleast Sean Bean didnt die in

The movie Troy

And I don't think he died in the Silent Hill movie too
kevberg - 12/9/2013, 5:53 AM
James Hetfield is doing a sci-fi movie?
MexicanChinman - 12/9/2013, 5:56 AM
@BloodredNemesis, you actually think Tatum acts gangster? You must be some little kid from the suburbs if you think that.

I watched the Matrix Trilogy last week for the first time. I was really impressed with them (the third film was the decent but good special effects), so l'll watch Jupiter Ascending even if it is half as good as the first Matrix. I still need to see Cloud Atlas and Speed Racer, and are those two films any good?
JayJayCAW - 12/9/2013, 6:41 AM
If they ever make a Mass Effect movie..... Channing Tatum for Conrad Verner lol
JoJo1982 - 12/9/2013, 6:48 AM
Speed Racer was pretty crappy

Cloud Atlas has some interesting stuff but I just couldn't finishing watching the movie cause of its slow pace
