Tomorrow I'm going to see if RoboCop will be dead or alive after this movie
CoulsonLives - 2/5/2014, 2:07 AM

Boyle360 - 2/5/2014, 2:17 AM

Stun gun?
Jollem - 2/5/2014, 3:15 AM
i'd be all about robot cops in real life if there was the potential for said cops not to abuse the law themselves
jimoakley666 - 2/5/2014, 3:21 AM
I have to say, that silver suit is fuking beautiful. Fantastic design. Shame they don't stick with that for the whole movie.

@EvenFlow - I'd imagine he has to carry a taser as well as cuffs, a bullet firing gun and probably c.s. gas too.
GetsugaTensho22 - 2/5/2014, 3:21 AM
I just came home from watching it. It's really good! It gets a 7.8 from me.

It's not perfect, and there are elements of the film that are weaker when compared to the better parts, but it's still a good movie. Joel Kinnaman kills it as Alex Murphy AND RoboCop. That guy is awesome.

Also, they pay tribute to all looks of the Robo Cop armor, including the ACTUAL Original design (i'm not talking about the black and silver redesign, but the legit Peter Weller look!).
GetsugaTensho22 - 2/5/2014, 3:27 AM
@jimoakley666: I won't spoil anything, but let's just say that the Black Armour is Raymond Seller's (Micheal Keaton) idea. He's an antagonist in the story.
So put those 2 together :P

I hate the naked hand.
GetsugaTensho22 - 2/5/2014, 3:38 AM
Hell, i'm too excited to stop talking about it.
I'll mention the fight scenes. Awesome!
When Robo walks, he does the full body-chest turn, but when he fights, it's beautiful! It's like he's dancing. Due to his combat software calculating bullet trajectories and ricochettes and bullet speeds and things, he doesn't ever stop moving when fighting. He doesn't stop and point, he just keeps moving and ducking and turning around pillars and WOW, does it look epic. He doesn't run, it's almost as if it's Walking Parkour, like he just makes the best use of the environment.

I think the black armor looks amazing.

rotten tomatoes*spits on the ground* is going to hate the shit out of robocop, then. those pretentious know-nothings decided that action is not good since MoS came out. god forbid there be action in an action movie
pointman - 2/5/2014, 5:03 AM
I can see why they went with all black. It is easier to hide the rubber and easier for him to move in, but I wish they would have stuck with the silver. visually it is more appealing.
VolkanTaskillas - 2/5/2014, 5:09 AM
Still look like a plastic rubber shit.
whoa123 - 2/5/2014, 6:28 AM
TotalFilm just gave it four stars, here's their final verdict.

Verdict:
Taking the original and successfully transplanting it into an ambitious new world, José Padilha’s english-language debut is an exciting, pacey and thoughtful sci-fi actioner.

LOL they get all the professional designers to come up with a modern version of Robocop and they did a pretty damn good job but then you have the studio spit in their face and destroy it with that awful final design.
I actually would have watched it if they left it as the grey suit.
antoineflemming - 2/5/2014, 7:37 AM
I get the black suit, being a tactical evolution of the suit, but I hope the silver suit gets a whole lot of screen time. The design of it, not just the color, looks much, much better than the black suit. @MyNameIsBrandon - Did you not see this? OBVIOUSLY he has the silver suit BEFORE the black suit. I really doubt he going to get yet another silver suit afterwards, especially when the silver suit they've got looks so good already (mind you, from that feature, it looks like it's the second silver suit, as that CGI turnaround on the screen, where they talk about making it black, actually looked more like the original). That silver suit is a great looking modernization of the original suit, IMO.
antoineflemming - 2/5/2014, 7:38 AM
@SuperCat: The black looks pretty good, definitely tactical, but the silver one's design looks better IMO. A black version of that silver armor would have looked really good.
Maximus101 - 2/5/2014, 7:45 AM
I'm very excited for this movie, I'm not being like a lot of other cry babies that won't give it a shot because of the original. I LOVED the originals but come on this looks awesome.
AgentEX - 2/5/2014, 8:05 AM
Pretty pumped. Almost every review I've seen has been positive. Hope this film does well and we can get a new rebooted RoboCop series.
AgentEX - 2/5/2014, 8:09 AM
Also, the embargo lifts today. So, we will see what the big sites thought as well.
nowtheresaBATman - 2/5/2014, 8:44 AM
Silver suit = Kate Upton's boobs.

Black suit = Miley's flat ass.
thewolfx - 2/5/2014, 8:54 AM

Oh and i wouldbt mind an all black suit had it looked like black metal with the same chest piece as the silver one

The black one has a very odd rib cagey design that just looks stupid

Let me just spoil it for you morons since you're all so idiotic that you're not even going to watch the movie!

Raymond Sellers decides to have Robo wear the black suit. Once robo kills him at the end, Dr.Dennet (Gary Oldman) builds him a new body, this time Silver and Black, just like the old suit.

There, happy? [frick]ing morons.
