Jupiter Ascending will land in theaters July 25th, 2014

JUPITER ASCENDING - Jupiter Jones (Mila Kunis) was born under a night sky, with signs predicting that she was destined for great things. Now grown, Jupiter dreams of the stars but wakes up to the cold reality of a job cleaning toilets and an endless run of bad breaks. Only when Caine (Channing Tatum), a genetically engineered ex-military hunter, arrives on Earth to track her down does Jupiter begin to glimpse the fate that has been waiting for her all along – her genetic signature marks her as next in line for an extraordinary inheritance that could alter the balance of the cosmos.

TheUltimateSuperman92 - 2/28/2014, 12:03 AM
and first !!!..lol
Humperdink - 2/28/2014, 12:05 AM
Not 100% sold on Tatum, and his look in this film makes it even harder to take him serious. More so than usual.

But hey...it's a sci-fi space-opera.
It's worth a casual look at least.
Humperdink - 2/28/2014, 12:06 AM
SPOILER ALERT:

Sean Bean probably dies.
95% probability.
giannis - 2/28/2014, 12:25 AM
One of the movies I want to see this Summer.
DestroyallTroll - 2/28/2014, 12:33 AM
@Hump Yeah, Tatum is good in comedy, but in drama, even a space one, im still on the fence. He was awesome in A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints though, a movie some may want to check out.
DestroyallTroll - 2/28/2014, 12:36 AM
It's got Iron Man, Rosario Dawson, Chazz Palminteri, and the PLAGARIST.
TheYoungMan - 2/28/2014, 12:38 AM
I'll be shocked if this isn't crap.
LittleDanglyThing - 2/28/2014, 2:30 AM
Can't wait.
This is supposed to be their first trilogy since the Matrix.
Ceejay - 2/28/2014, 2:35 AM
At least this looks like scifi that I can take seriously. I'm looking forward to it a lot more than two hours of wisecrack one-liners and corny comedy with Guardians of the Galaxy and its talking rat and trees.
Ceejay - 2/28/2014, 2:43 AM
Plus Terry Gilliam is in this in a scene that pays homage to one of his greatest movies, Brazil. That alone is worth the admission price for a must see for film buffs.
Ceejay - 2/28/2014, 2:48 AM
@Bravado - No, only the good ones are! Everything else is Dr Who level cheese and campy crap or contrived into spectacle based Hollywood action comedies its feeds the masses who can't deal with anything else, regardless of what the source material was.

looks nice.... bad, annoying actors!!!!!
tongtong - 2/28/2014, 3:17 AM
Those fake ears look very fake.

@LittleDanglyThing

"Can't wait.
This is supposed to be their first trilogy since the Matrix. "

That will depend on how it performs.

Keep in mind that their movie 'Speed Racer' was supposed to have a sequel too before it bombed. Had it done well it could have also been a trilogy.

A lot of movies could have been trilogies but weren't.

All I want to know is how will die Sean Bean...

that was a bold statement , I'm certainly looking forward to this more than guardians of the galaxy...I think it will me a pure family comedy movie filled with lame ass jokes

DrunkenNukem - 2/28/2014, 5:15 AM
@0mega... so not matrix revolutions? or not even Speed Racer?? so you liked those films???..
marvel72 - 2/28/2014, 5:44 AM
looks pretty good,as long as its not a trilogy, you remember what happened after the matrix.
Comedian03 - 2/28/2014, 5:50 AM
Because this looks soooooo awesome, wooo, another hit from Channing Tatum

SuperCat - 2/28/2014, 6:05 AM

TheClemster - 2/28/2014, 6:13 AM
oh boy ....
Battabing - 2/28/2014, 6:16 AM
LOl how some people want this guy to be Gambit.
Granted it's fitting: terrible actor for a terrible character.
ALmazing - 2/28/2014, 6:16 AM
Not sold on this yet, there is nothing on these trailers that makes me exited about it. Tatum looks cheesy with the bad die job and the Vulcan ears.
JediPhilosopher - 2/28/2014, 6:17 AM
Ok, somebody just said Cloud Atlas is one of their favorite movies. I saw it and I'm pretty good at finding the correct meanings in movies, but that one totally had me stumped. Somewhere along the way, my brain turned down the wrong off-ramp and got lost.
Mysterion - 2/28/2014, 6:24 AM
movie looks like shit, Wachowskis have really lost their ways.
Batmaniac - 2/28/2014, 6:34 AM
Cloud Atlas is an amazing movie!

I too like Revolutions, but I agree, the first is the best of the trilogy.

This movie looks good, and the Guardians of the Galaxy is going to own!

Interstellar, however, will more than likely be the best Sci-Fi movie of the year.
Batmaniac - 2/28/2014, 6:35 AM
Actually, I have a good feeling that Interstellar is going to be the best movie of the year, but that's just me.
JediPhilosopher - 2/28/2014, 6:36 AM
About the Matrix, the original can stand on its own. It leaves some details to the imagination, such as "what is Zion like?", but the primary lose-ends were tied up and you got the sense the humans just had a huge victory against the machines. Matrix Reloaded had great fight scenes, but suddenly brought up a lot of questions, such as "who EXACTLY is the Merovingian?" There are clues that strongly hint he was a previous version of Neo and others that he is the Matrix's version of the Devil, but what is he really? That and at least a dozen other burning questions never got answered in the third Matrix movie, and that pissed me off.
Nomadic1 - 2/28/2014, 6:37 AM
Tatum with elf ears. Yea, i'll pass.
Batmaniac - 2/28/2014, 6:41 AM
JediPhilosopher - 2/28/2014, 6:41 AM
"Kill the she-elf!" "Which one's the she-elf?" [The orcs burst out laughing] :P
Shamo - 2/28/2014, 6:56 AM
Movies gonna be shit. Tatum can't act and Kunis can't act well enough to carry her own film. Shit casting.
Ranger14 - 2/28/2014, 7:04 AM
Sounds pretty formulaic to me. How many sci-fi flicks are there where there is some young chick who has a special destiny and ends up with some guy as her protector against all that want to prevent her from fulfilling that destiny? Quite a few. Perhaps a Netflix watch for me.
DrunkenNukem - 2/28/2014, 7:16 AM
I think Cloud Atlas was really underrated...but i cant say the same for Speed Racer, its is bad in any way you look at it...worst than Matrix Revolutions...

Jupiter´s Ascending doesnt give me much hope...i fear for the Wachowskis taking the Brian Singer/Roland Emmerich route of downhill careers
SuperSomething616 - 2/28/2014, 7:19 AM
@ Humperdink - Spoiler Alert:

Sean Bean dies horrifically - 100% probability ;)
TheYoungMan - 2/28/2014, 7:40 AM
@Pasto I've been kinda busy. I'm making my own short film, and there are a few deadlines coming up for film festivals, so I need to finish my editing soon.
