We’ve always known that Spider-Man’s most important battle has been within himself: the struggle between the ordinary obligations of Peter Parker and the extraordinary responsibilities of Spider-Man. But in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Peter Parker finds that a greater conflict lies ahead.

It’s great to be Spider-Man (Andrew Garfield). For Peter Parker, there’s no feeling quite like swinging between skyscrapers, embracing being the hero, and spending time with Gwen (Emma Stone). But being Spider-Man comes at a price: only Spider-Man can protect his fellow New Yorkers from the formidable villains that threaten the city. With the emergence of Electro (Jamie Foxx), Peter must confront a foe far more powerful than he. And as his old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, Peter comes to realize that all of his enemies have one thing in common: OsCorp.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 will be directed by Marc Webb from a script written by Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci, Jeff Pinkner and James Vanderbilt. The film will star Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy, Sally Field as Aunt May, Shailene Woodley as Mary Jane Watson, Paul Giamatti as Rhino, Jamie Foxx is Electro and Chris Cooper as Norman Osborn. The Amazing Spider-Man sequel will swing into theaters May 2, 2014.

a huge bag of nope.

I have a feeling this will be "The Dark Knight" for Spider-Man. And as badly as I want Spidey to cross over to Marvel Studios, I can't pretend that I don't smile when audiences everywhere start naming the webslinger as their favorite superhero.
Doopie - 3/18/2014, 6:28 AM
i think we could do with one more trailer. no wait, make that two
the1egend1ives - 3/18/2014, 6:30 AM
The practical effects of webswinging in the first Spider-Man were cool, but there's something far more WOW-inducing in using cgi for those effects.

Oh.
My.
God.

Marvel1997 - 3/18/2014, 6:34 AM
They said the trailer comes out Today, not [Frick]ing Wed
Marvel1997 - 3/18/2014, 6:36 AM
His swinging is already 1000x better than anything Raimi has [frick]ing done
jdillander91 - 3/18/2014, 6:38 AM
So many damn trailers. I feel like I already seen the movie.
JJJameson - 3/18/2014, 6:38 AM
This is Spider-Man, ladies and gentlemen. The Amazing Spider-Man indeed.
TheIncredibleHulksta - 3/18/2014, 6:39 AM
I'm suing Sony; I want my 30 seconds back.
Chloefornication - 3/18/2014, 6:40 AM
They are really trying to make this score get catchy. Nice footage, by the way!
Chloefornication - 3/18/2014, 6:42 AM
The swinging in TASM was terrible. They wanted to make it feel real which really worked in that scene when he swings for the first time with the cops, but for the rest of the movie it made him look slow and boring as hell. They need CGI or else the character will look too stiff when he is in the air.
McNyagano - 3/18/2014, 6:43 AM
Looks even better on the big screen:D
Marvel1997 - 3/18/2014, 6:43 AM
Unless I'm wrong.. Didn't they say Tuesday??!!?
charlie2094 - 3/18/2014, 6:43 AM
Pretty much just stuff we've already seen, but great none the less!

Really haven't seen that much, mostly been a lot of the same footage and scenes...besides, the large majority of people who see TASM2 won't have seen half of the footage we've seen visiting here, not really been that much
TheAmazingSpiderWill - 3/18/2014, 6:44 AM
The swinging in this movie is frigging breathtaking. Can not wait to see this in 3D.
CaptainSporty - 3/18/2014, 6:54 AM

They nailed that web-swinging down! Can't wait to see this movie.
Masterpace - 3/18/2014, 6:56 AM
Looks great but I must say...with this music when i see "His greatest battle..." I just can't take it seriously...tehy shouldn't have put this into this sneak peek or change the music IMO.
Supermandatory - 3/18/2014, 7:00 AM
Really liking what Hanz and company have done with the new score!
marvel72 - 3/18/2014, 7:00 AM
"His swinging is already 1000x better than anything Raimi has [frick]ing done"

@ marvel1997

shouldn't knock the classic's,there has been great advances in cgi since those movies,it should look better.

MrNiklander - 3/18/2014, 7:13 AM
That web swinging looks so good but I can't get excited for this movie
TheRationalNerd - 3/18/2014, 7:17 AM
1,000,000,000,000 trailers and counting.
theowl - 3/18/2014, 7:17 AM
They have really nailed it this time!!
TheRationalNerd - 3/18/2014, 7:19 AM
"His swinging is already 1000x better than anything Raimi has [frick]ing done."

If it weren't for Raimi there would've been no "Amazing Spider-Man 2 Web-Swinging" Simple as that. lol
Ashes2Phoenix - 3/18/2014, 7:20 AM
This is looking incredible. I am going to say it,I think this will be the CBM to beat this year !
JJJameson - 3/18/2014, 7:32 AM
I'm thankful to Burton's Batman and Raimi's Spider-Man, but that shouldn't and it won't prevent me from acknowledging how breathtakingly AMAZING this film is shaping up. I agree with Ashes2Phoenix, this is looking like it'll be the CBM of the year, and quite possibly one of the genre's very best.
DestroyerofHaters - 3/18/2014, 7:38 AM
If you watched that and have nothing to say but complain about the number of trailers, get out.
That score, with that swinging. I just can't understand not loving the ability to see this.

Spider Man is such a great character I couldn't be happier to see such web slinging
JJJameson - 3/18/2014, 7:42 AM
I have no single doubt that Spider-Man and Captain America are OWNING 2014.
Carl - 3/18/2014, 7:43 AM
someone else would have made spiderman if raimi didnt, and probably better.
Spideyshawn - 3/18/2014, 7:52 AM
Man seeing this in IMAX 3D.
Ashes2Phoenix - 3/18/2014, 7:54 AM
DestroyerofHaters

Unfortunately you can't please everyone. I personally love Spider-Man for his ability to swing like this. It is unbelievably epic, especially with the score. The complaints about I have already seen this because the trailers give to much away, are frankly ridiculous. The film is just under three hours long according to the article posted today. I don't think 15 minutes worth of footage is going to hurt the experience. Captain America has released the first 9 minutes and a 4 minute preview, including trailers, tv spot and featurettes, yet there are no complaints. I am not saying everyone who says we have seen too much is a hater but I honestly think that is the last straw the haters have left to play with.
Fastestmanalive - 3/18/2014, 7:55 AM
Those web swinging scenes are amazing. But hope that we get more in the actual movie unlike in the first one.
Hemsey - 3/18/2014, 7:55 AM
Love dat swinging
CaptainAmerica31 - 3/18/2014, 8:06 AM
@Carl James Cameron was going to make it. Leo Dicaprio was going to be peter. I think that could've been a lot better than the Raimi version
HulkDraxGroot - 3/18/2014, 8:15 AM
i feel like i have pretty much seen the whole movie already...
