We’ve always known that Spider-Man’s most important battle has been within himself: the struggle between the ordinary obligations of Peter Parker and the extraordinary responsibilities of Spider-Man. But in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Peter Parker finds that a greater conflict lies ahead. It’s great to be Spider-Man (Andrew Garfield). For Peter Parker, there’s no feeling quite like swinging between skyscrapers, embracing being the hero, and spending time with Gwen (Emma Stone). But being Spider-Man comes at a price: only Spider-Man can protect his fellow New Yorkers from the formidable villains that threaten the city. With the emergence of Electro (Jamie Foxx), Peter must confront a foe far more powerful than he. And as his old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, Peter comes to realize that all of his enemies have one thing in common: OsCorp...

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 will be directed by Marc Webb from a script written by Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci, Jeff Pinkner and James Vanderbilt. The film will star Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy, Sally Field as Aunt May, Shailene Woodley as Mary Jane Watson, Paul Giamatti as Rhino, Jamie Foxx is Electro and Chris Cooper as Norman Osborn. The Amazing Spider-Man sequel will swing into theaters May 2, 2014.

I'm glad they gave us an incomplete look at the Goblin. I def wouldn't want him to look like this. He needs to mutate and throw on some purple already. I wouldn't mind armor if he had a dark purple cloak over parts of it and had a mutated face
Mrcool210 - 5/9/2014, 9:02 AM
eeew they all look worse then he looked in the movie
Vegeta - 5/9/2014, 9:03 AM
He looks like an Orc.
SuperCat - 5/9/2014, 9:04 AM
F*ck Face.
LEEE777 - 5/9/2014, 9:04 AM
...Jason Isaacs!

Damn, he could've made a [frick]ing fantastic Green Goblin!
YeezusWept - 5/9/2014, 9:18 AM
TWINSIES!

TheOracularNerd - 5/9/2014, 9:23 AM
The art in the second row all the way to the right is pretty cool.
Grayson7954 - 5/9/2014, 9:23 AM
Jason Issacs would be a casting for Norman Osborn pretty darn close to Dafoe. Dafoe of course is legendary, but Issacs really can portray a villain, and that face is so close to the Osborn face of the comics
ComicsBornAndBred - 5/9/2014, 9:23 AM
The glider is nice but very thin else is....huh
I get why they did the designs the way they did here. Everything in superhero movies is supposed to be mechanized an have a military feel to it
yossarian - 5/9/2014, 9:24 AM
So they never had any good ideas?
BraxtonHicks - 5/9/2014, 9:25 AM
Great, this makes me terrified for the final designs of Doc Ock, Vulture, and Black Cat...
Gusto - 5/9/2014, 9:25 AM
I think the casting director really dropped the ball on this one.

unknownguy - 5/9/2014, 9:29 AM
Impressive pile of crap.
thing94 - 5/9/2014, 9:29 AM
Dehaan's Goblin FTW!!! Great version of the Goblin! Loved it!

These designs are interesting too! Good stuff.

ManCalledSting - 5/9/2014, 9:31 AM
Glad they went with the design they did. I really enjoyed the mivie. Max was a little over the top, and the goblin was a bit rushed, but all in all, this was the best Spiderman movie to date.
jasonicus - 5/9/2014, 9:32 AM
They should have went with that sweet bicycle helmet look.
ManCalledSting - 5/9/2014, 9:32 AM
Plus the a flock of seagulls hair wasn't needed.
thing94 - 5/9/2014, 9:32 AM
@ManCalledSting

I agree. Lots of Spider-Man mythos in the movie, Spider-Man himself was the best in any movie, Stone is especially great, fun seeing three villains Electro, Goblin, and Rhino, and the stages set for future films.
YeezusWept - 5/9/2014, 9:33 AM
@0mega

I agree, he wasn't terrifying at all, just cringeworthy. And his creepy tongue flicks... The [frick]?
SuperCat - 5/9/2014, 9:33 AM
LOL!! @ yoss
SuperCat - 5/9/2014, 9:34 AM
thewolfx - 5/9/2014, 9:35 AM
Omg is ot so [frick]ing hard to add some purple on a goblin?

Is it so hard to throw a [frick]in hood over him

Seriously hollywood is [frick]in dumb!
Magus - 5/9/2014, 9:35 AM
Why only horrible Goblin designs are allowed in Spider-Man movies is beyond me. They should have just stuck with the original animatronic Goblin mask Raimi had made for Spidey 1:

thewolfx - 5/9/2014, 9:36 AM
@Thing

You are alone kid -_-
GodzillaKart - 5/9/2014, 9:44 AM
I thought TASM2 was fantastic...but the Goblin designs were just ok. I like the battle armor road that all the movies have taken, but you can do that and still make it look a bit more gobliny.
sjoerdo0 - 5/9/2014, 9:49 AM
THIS IS THE GREEN GOBLIN I WANT

Bearjew - 5/9/2014, 9:49 AM
Oscorp doesn't have to have the "industry" on the end. It already has corp Marc Webb, go back and make 50 years of Autumn (the sequel to 500 days of summer) you dumb [foo foo]
LeroyJenkins - 5/9/2014, 9:50 AM
Who designs this shit?!
Egg - 5/9/2014, 9:51 AM
More like Green CokGoblin
Tony93 - 5/9/2014, 9:52 AM
just make his ears actually long, his face greener, his chin, nose, and bone cheeks protrude more and dehaans goblin would be great. also lose the damn freakn hair. looks horrible. give him a real hoodie.
YeezusWept - 5/9/2014, 9:53 AM
@0mega

Exactly. Thowing a bitch fit because he couldn't get his way and crying "you're a fraud, Spider-Man" is hardly character development, nor is it a believable catalyst for his villain turn.
Tony93 - 5/9/2014, 9:54 AM
no motive or explanation as to why the suit was there. it was just "there" for him to put on. reminds me of venom
Goji54 - 5/9/2014, 9:55 AM
It's official. THEY WERE NEVER GOING TO GET THE GREEN GOBLIN RIGHT.
sjoerdo0 - 5/9/2014, 9:56 AM
@tony

its there to keep him alive -_-
he was dieing and saw the suit so he put it on to not died. he know that the suit was healing him because he saw it on the compute thingy.
Comedian03 - 5/9/2014, 9:57 AM
I don't know why it would've been so hard to just turn him into a mutant goblin/human thing, instead of some disease that makes him some kind of green leper.

The already established Oscorp does all kinds of cross-genetics research, so why not use that to create the Green Goblin?
GodzillaKart - 5/9/2014, 9:58 AM
You guys are high. ( I learned that intro in debate 101 )

Harry's motivation was clear: he wanted to save his own life. That was well developed as well as his teetering between being the immoral asshole his dad's abuse created, and the good kid Peter reminded him he once was. If you were paying attention, the suit, glider and suits healing properties was clearly established halfway into the film.
Comedian03 - 5/9/2014, 10:00 AM
But these designs show that what we got on screen really wasn't that bad, compared to what would could have gotten.

Actually that being said, I thought Dane as Harry/Goblin was one of the few good things about the film, I just thought his whole arc was extremely rushed.
