Notice the ears/horns on top, Disney knows who the bad boy is here..
Ace101 - 5/20/2014, 4:22 AM
@pepe just got back from watching Godzilla, its awesome but with some annoying flaws, but that final kill makes it worthwhile
TheAbaryMan369 - 5/20/2014, 4:29 AM
In order for kids to go see it it needs a sense of creativity, something they have never really seen.

This will bomb. Royally.
0megaDaGod - 5/20/2014, 4:31 AM
This looks oddly generic
grif - 5/20/2014, 4:40 AM
defiantly for the kids

*** THIS COMMENT CONTAINS GODZILLA SPOILERS***

@Ace101

Godzilla lacked emotion, it had some at the start, but that died with Cranston, they should of kept him around a lot longer as once he was gone I lost a lot of interest.

Also it had no fear or suspense, except once when they where on the railway bridge but other than that I was never worried for the main hero or his family. I would have liked to see more people shitting their pants when seeing the monsters but the panic was pretty ordinary and underwhelming.

If you have seen directors cut of Return of the King when the Witch King lands in front of Gandalf and Pippin and the Nazgul roars at them, Gandalf and Pippin go into this state of absolute shock and fear at the sight of it for a brief moment, Jackson does little things like this very well, also done in King Kong, sort of akin to the Dragonfear in D&D which creates an overpowering sense of fear in people, this is something I feel should be portrayed more in these sorts of movies, it would give a more realistic emotion to the characters when encountering these monsters.

And apart from that the story was alright and the monsters looked good and the fights where fun even though they where short, but it was all in all pretty disappointing and not what I expected after watching the trailers, though I agree the final kill was cool.

Also way to many little children in it, maybe less camera time on the children and more on the monsters.
Ace101 - 5/20/2014, 5:13 AM
@OdinsMissingEye you hit the nail on the head. thats exactly how i fell about the movie.

Thanks for the spoiler warning, more movies have been ruined for me on this site than anywhere else. I love CBM.com but not those users that have a need to impress by spoiling just-released titles.
MrCBM56 - 5/20/2014, 5:26 AM
Godzilla marketing was so mis-leading. 6.5/10

ProfessorX - 5/20/2014, 5:30 AM
Animation looks top notch.
AstonishingArachnid - 5/20/2014, 5:45 AM
Loving the animation. My nephews will love this. Hopefully its like the Lego Movie and I can enjoy as much as them when I take them to go see it.
MexicanChinman - 5/20/2014, 6:00 AM
Looks good but wtf is that? Pillsbury Dough Boy?
HachibiTheMC - 5/20/2014, 6:03 AM
looks cool enough.

Animation looks sharp.

It'll be a nice break from the Marvel/DC live action tidal wave, the recent Kaiju movement, or Disney's other blatant attempts to force barely passible sequels into existence (seriously, how the hell does "Planes" make enough loot to justify another one).

Here's hoping that Sunfire and Silver Samurai are in it. Now that would be bomb.
dellamorte1872 - 5/20/2014, 6:14 AM
I am so not a fan but why haven't the studios melding produced a power pack movie yet? You'd think both studios would see the potential as a Pixarr-esque thing like this^ power pack I'd think would be rife with big screen animated potential
TheRealRemyLebeau - 5/20/2014, 6:14 AM
Looks good to me.
MightyZeus - 5/20/2014, 6:57 AM
Why are people talking about Godzilla in a non related article to Godzilla? The movie was good, nuff said.

Hobgobby8821 - 5/20/2014, 6:59 AM
is this for children or adults?
StarYeezus - 5/20/2014, 7:09 AM
Oh cool, I love the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man.
TheAbomination - 5/20/2014, 7:16 AM
Looks like a fun kids movie.
Dandy - 5/20/2014, 7:30 AM
I'm really looking foreword to this. Disney has been on their A game the last few years.

Plus the animation looks like a fun mix of classic Disney, CGI, and Miyazaki.
MrFridayNights - 5/20/2014, 7:52 AM
I would only give a shit about this if Sunfire and Silver Samurai appear in this they are the only B list characters in the team.
MrFridayNights - 5/20/2014, 7:53 AM
Damn now i want a X-Men animated movie.
thewolfx - 5/20/2014, 8:13 AM

Spidey91 - 5/20/2014, 8:18 AM
it's a Disney movie, "this looks to be made for kids" is the understatement of the f*cking century :P
looking forward to this, you're never too old for some Disney movies :P
also, he looks like he could be a Robot Master from the Megaman games.
pepe - 5/20/2014, 8:34 AM
So ... godzillas good or what?
sKeemAn - 5/20/2014, 9:11 AM
This actually looks really good. The animation is pretty sharp. I'm checking this out.
Melkaticox - 5/20/2014, 10:07 AM
@TheMexicanSuperman The base...what, wasn't it obvious?

KidGoku - 5/20/2014, 10:57 AM
looks like Disney animators finally catching up to Dreamworks though
TheSavorings - 5/20/2014, 12:53 PM
The SECOND FF flops for FOX and Disney gets it back they NEED to make a Pixar made, Disney produced "The Incredibles Meets The Fantastic Four" crossover movie = PRINT MONEY. That is all.
TheAmericanPatriot - 5/20/2014, 12:56 PM
This movie will be awesome!

Disny + Marvel = WIN!
