First Look At Rebooted DANGER MOUSE & Penfold

Crumbs! We heard that the BBC were bringing the rodent super-spy and his trusty hamster sidekick back for a new episode run, and now we have our first glimpse of the (other) dynamic duo. They've kept the classic character designs..and Penfold looks pretty much identical to his '80s counterpart.

First Bananaman now Danger Mouse? This is a good time for fans of '80s Brit-toons. The show is being rebooted by Ireland’s Boulder Media, with Horrible Histories‘ Ben Ward on script duty. No word yet on who'll be providing the voices, but one would hope British comedy icon David Jason might consider returning to bring DM back to life again.

The mouse pictured above is Juan de la Queso. Despite his mexican heritage he prays to BLACK Cheesus every night after his diner and before killing some.

So this was what 80s British kids grew up with? I'm glad I was born in the 90s America.
KINGPEN266 - 6/21/2014, 6:53 AM

Parkerluckpersonified - 6/21/2014, 7:26 AM
Cool! doesn't look like they've wrecked him with lame Playstation 1 looking animation like they have with pacman and postman pat and sonic and batman and green lantern....... hmm.... well done BBC, buck the trend
Enphlieuwince - 6/21/2014, 8:24 AM
That's a cool nod to 007 there. Only thing is, that's either a pretty big gun or a really tiny mouse.
Tevii - 6/21/2014, 8:41 AM
Themexicansuperman- easy to say without seeing an episode. The show was hilarious. Better than 90% of the drivel that was produced in the 90's
DrVenkman - 6/21/2014, 8:45 AM
Why is everyone posting things about MIGHTY mouse? This is DANGER mouse.
marvel72 - 6/21/2014, 11:44 AM

Holy crap. I remember this cartoon. Nickelodeon use to air it early in the morning back in the early to mid 90's.
Pasto - 6/21/2014, 2:35 PM
British people are just odd.
Pasto - 6/21/2014, 2:36 PM
With humor that is as dry as a saltine cracker, the sky is always grey, and everyone has terrible dental, how could you possibly live there?
Demonluv - 6/21/2014, 4:21 PM
Cool, designs looks nice and true to the original. I hope they keep the tone of the original too.
VictorHugo - 6/21/2014, 7:47 PM

MoonNight - 6/22/2014, 4:11 AM
C'or!
Robe - 6/22/2014, 6:25 AM
Yes a previous evil incarnation of Count Duckula appeared in Danger Mouse.
The one who appeared in his own series was resurrected using tomato ketchup instead of blood and became a vegetarian.
