Entertainment Weekly have lifted the lid on what we can expect from not only Ultron in the Marvel sequel, but his first screen interaction with the Avengers themselves. First they confirm that Tony Stark will indeed give "birth" to the AI known as Ultron (who will be designed as the captain of a planetary police force known as the Iron Legion) when he attempts to create a team of drones to basically lighten the Avengers' workload. The problem is, he imbues Ultron with elements of his own personality -- and the android chooses to display the negative side of it, focusing on Stark’s cynicism, but not his sympathy. “It’s not the good version that could’ve come from [Stark's] intellect and personality,” says Chris Hemsworth, “It’s the bad son.” The site then set the scene for the heroes' first battle with Ultron, which takes place as they party together at the new Avengers HQ.

"Stark sees the soiree as a chance for the Avengers to schmooze with the city’s powerbrokers in a post-S.H.I.E.L.D. environment, showing that they are not merely superpowered vigilantes. Half-filled glasses of wine, bottles of beer, and partially eaten plates of sushi and cookies litter the tables in this three-story marble and steel structure, constructed entirely within the soundstage—complete with a loading dock for the Quinjet and an upstairs laboratory for Stark and Banner (Mark Ruffalo) to blind themselves with science. Thor (Chris Hemsworth) has put aside the cape and chest plate for a t-shirt and slacks, while Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow has swapped her leathery catsuit for an empire-waist cocktail dress with a billowing skirt — which helps hide the actress’s real-life pregnancy. Banner looks a little uptight in his purple button-down and tweedy jacket, while Jeremy Renner’s Hawkeye is in wallflower mode, lingering on the periphery by himself, ever the loner. Chris Evans’ Captain America is making small talk with former S.H.I.E.L.D. agent Maria Hill (Cobie Smulders). Most of the partygoers have left; now it’s just the old friends lingering."

And that's when Ultron chooses to strike. He and the Legionaries attack, and although the team manage to take care of business easily enough, Ultron promises this is just the beginning. “I know you’re ‘good’ people,” he tells the Avengers. “I know you mean well… but you just didn’t think it through…. There is only one path to peace… your extermination.” Pretty cool stuff eh? There's more at the link below too so be sure to head on over to EW to check it out.

That one is gone. Oh well.

It was getting lame in the comments anyway, but that's just my opinion. Not a fact or something.

That background.

Makes me think of this level of chaos and danger.

Heroes on the run.

This movie may be MUCH bigger than we all anticipate.

Joss Whedon's Avengers series will be this generation's Star Wars. If not bigger....
RorMachine - 7/16/2014, 3:39 PM
Fresh had to step out so couldn't finish his article and asked me if I'd write another up. How about you guys focus on the content placed in front of you, and let us worry about the running of the site okay?
Mrcool210 - 7/16/2014, 3:39 PM
Oh well, even if i feel the way i do about that police force, ive seen james spader, and i have no doubt he will at least be intimidating. And even with an army like that we can expect fight scenes even better then the ones for the first movie.
McNyagano - 7/16/2014, 3:39 PM
I imagine Whedon is feeling like this...
Maestro - 7/16/2014, 3:41 PM
@Mcny

LOL!!! Definitely.
Comedian03 - 7/16/2014, 3:42 PM
I seem to remember a couple years ago DCMF I think it was, posted an article with some supposed rumors for The Avengers, and one of the bits of information was that Tony would be the one who creates Ultron. Maybe that scoop was legit and the idea just got pushed to the sequel.
Maestro - 7/16/2014, 3:42 PM
@ror

No worries.
Maestro - 7/16/2014, 3:43 PM
I'm going to give Whedon praise on twitter. lol
ruadh - 7/16/2014, 3:43 PM
Its no big deal, the uptight nerds can have the same arguments here.
npamusic - 7/16/2014, 3:45 PM
@McNyagano I think we all are feeling like that. I extracted the information from DCMARVEL's article, thank god. It was a mouthful!!

Too bad his article got taken down because he didn't even get a chance to edit it. [frick].
Mrcool210 - 7/16/2014, 3:46 PM
@Ror don't take offense to this, but couldn't you have just edited DCMFs article? i mean you can edit ours why can't you edit each others?
StarYeezus - 7/16/2014, 3:47 PM
So Ultron is the CLU 2.0 to Tony's Kevin Flynn.
npamusic - 7/16/2014, 3:47 PM
Dood.. THIS.. THISS!!!!

StarYeezus - 7/16/2014, 3:47 PM
Or similarly, the Ultron to Tony's Hank Pym.
McNyagano - 7/16/2014, 3:48 PM
@Ror

I was curious and asked a question. Nothing wrong with that. Sorry for asking thanks for the info.
Mrcool210 - 7/16/2014, 3:49 PM

npamusic - 7/16/2014, 3:49 PM
