JasonBlue - 8/7/2014, 11:42 AM

MatTaylorX - 8/7/2014, 11:42 AM
I'm a TMNT fan but this looks crap.
shabat - 8/7/2014, 11:43 AM
This movie is not doing well on RT. I still want to see it though.
JasonBlue - 8/7/2014, 11:43 AM
Plus her body can make any experience bearable... Just compare the first two transformers with the last two
CrimsonDynamo - 8/7/2014, 11:44 AM
^ check out Step Up All In instead - 57% on RT
RorMachine - 8/7/2014, 11:44 AM
That RT score is awful..still seeing it. Lifelong fan, have to see for myself. Plus, all the clips have been pretty good so far.
AsgardianHobo - 8/7/2014, 11:44 AM
lol, 17% on RT as someone said? Michael Bay has his stench all over this. Watch it knock GotG out of the top spot too, smh...
AsgardianHobo - 8/7/2014, 11:45 AM
@Ror

Same here. Born in the mid 80's, I loved the turtle movies as well as the cartoon. Even owned some of the VHS releases of the cartoon......

But this movie just seems....wrong. Call it instinct, i dunno
Gusto - 8/7/2014, 11:46 AM
I don't think it looks that bad.
AsgardianHobo - 8/7/2014, 11:48 AM
@Gusto

You said that about your herpes infection too. Look how THAT turned out
StarYeezus - 8/7/2014, 11:49 AM
McGee - 8/7/2014, 11:54 AM
I would love to be a film critic...but like...get paid to give good reviews to shitty films.
blackandyellow - 8/7/2014, 11:55 AM
You guys remember this gem? The turtles teach some kids that they should only buy drugs from reputable dealers or something like that.

McGee - 8/7/2014, 11:56 AM
....I'd have a Corvette Stingray by the end of the year!
blackandyellow - 8/7/2014, 11:56 AM
McGee, I heard you can do that without even having to watch the movies. I don't know if you can get paid for it though.
GiantNerd - 8/7/2014, 11:57 AM
17%?¿!?¿¡?! Dayum....
AsgardianHobo - 8/7/2014, 11:58 AM
"they should only buy drugs from reputable dealers"

Talk about killing half the fun. It's like a box of chocolates, you never know what your're gonna get!
vinnyhunk - 8/7/2014, 12:01 PM
[frick] rt they payed to like our dislike a movie... everyone that's seen tmnt thinks it's amazing. .. i for one can't wait cowabunga
Equivocal - 8/7/2014, 12:02 PM
although bay has been proved as "critic-proof" this does Not look interesting at all, the concept design is not appealing, kinda creepy, but I'm sure it will do good at the box office, this is 'literally' for kids.

will it take the first spot ?

who knows but hopefully no, anyway

I'm watching GoTG again this weekend with the nephew

McGee - 8/7/2014, 12:02 PM
@B&Y

HAHAHAHAHA!!!!!

I remember that! President Bush, the smart one, gave an introduction and the whole time I was like "What the f*ck is Alf doing here? Trying to eat Garfield?"
AsgardianHobo - 8/7/2014, 12:02 PM
@vinny

"[frick] rt they payed to like our dislike a movie"

You do realize that RT collects reviews from hundreds of sources, right? They are not a single entity that get's paid off to bash a film, lol
Ipitythefool - 8/7/2014, 12:03 PM
Not wasting my money on this shit.
GL - 8/7/2014, 12:04 PM
Why does everyone rely on Rotten Tomatoes.....
AsgardianHobo - 8/7/2014, 12:08 PM
@GL

Since people have been reading and reacting to reviews for decades now, it is no surprise. With so many movies coming out now, people don't have time to watch EVERY singly one. People with no jobs do, but sometimes others rely on critics that they trust to help them decide what to watch on a weekend.

I like RT for the fact that I don't have to go to each website to see the opinions of certain critics(used to have to grab a newspaper or magazine).
yossarian - 8/7/2014, 12:08 PM
Are negative reviews the fault of RT aggregating critic scores or the conspiracy to hype Marvel? I'm confused.

I was never going to see this. TMNT never really did anything for me. I hope the fans like it.
AsgardianHobo - 8/7/2014, 12:09 PM
And I do watch movies that they bash sometimes, just not Transformer-type movies
McGee - 8/7/2014, 12:10 PM
@B&Y

LMAO!!!!.....Oh McNy.....
AsgardianHobo - 8/7/2014, 12:14 PM
@Yoss

It's a conspiracy to hype Marvel as some others have said. It's science
ALmazing - 8/7/2014, 12:19 PM
Critics agree, popcorn is the best snack to eat at the movies... except for when you can sneak in Taco Bell.
yossarian - 8/7/2014, 12:26 PM
[frick] this. Egg just went flying across my desk and office because I thought I was cracking a hard boiled egg. Son of a bitch!
gurugeorge - 8/7/2014, 12:33 PM
Every fibre of my being has always revolted against TMNT ever since I first saw them in a comic many years ago. Not just "nu-uh, not feelin' it", but positive dislike.

I really can't think of anything I'd be more unlikely to ever, ever see in my entire life, than this. Even fricken' Transformers has more pull for me.
DefcoN - 8/7/2014, 12:33 PM
Man, the turtles were part of my early childhood. I watched the TV shows and movies, had a lot of action figures (including the van), played all their beat'em up games, even dressed up as one of them on some costume party. Despite all that, I have nearly no interest in watching this film for some reason.
MrDeadRabbit - 8/7/2014, 12:38 PM
This looks better than any crap that DC/Warner releases.

Easily trumps that boreshit fest known as Man of Snap
MrDeadRabbit - 8/7/2014, 12:40 PM
I can't believe how butthurt all the DC fangirls are after GotG turned out that great and they cannot put an amazonian warrior LOL!!!
AsgardianHobo - 8/7/2014, 12:41 PM
@Dane

Talk about being starved for attention....jeez
YoungThanos - 8/7/2014, 1:10 PM
Youtube critic JeremyJahns confirmed my suspicion that the big antenna falling off the building shot in the ripoff from Amazing Spider-man.

Think about that for a second...

One of the lamest reboots in recent years felt obligated to steal from another equally "Meh" reboot from not to long ago.

CrimsonDynamo - 8/7/2014, 1:16 PM
"The only review I give a $&*@ about is mine" -crimsonD
YoungThanos - 8/7/2014, 1:23 PM
@Equivocal - 8/7/2014, 12:02 PM
"although bay has been proved as "critic-proof" this does Not look interesting at all, the concept design is not appealing, kinda creepy, but I'm sure it will do good at the box office, this is 'literally' for kids."

"Critic-Proof"?

It's my theory that people simply like Transformers more than they hate Bay. None of Bays other films have done close to TF's numbers. Case in point Pain & Gain didn't even hit the $100M mark. The Island was a flop as well.

Dare I say Transformers would likely make more under a better director?
It's would get my money for sure.
