In The Amazing Spider-Man™ 2, for Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield), life is busy – between taking out the bad guys as Spider-Man and spending time with the person he loves, Gwen (Emma Stone), high school graduation can’t come quickly enough. Peter hasn’t forgotten about the promise he made to Gwen’s father to protect her by staying away – but that’s a promise he just can’t keep. Things will change for Peter when a new villain, Electro (Jamie Foxx), emerges, an old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, and Peter uncovers new clues about his past.

Starring Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Jamie Foxx, Dane DeHaan, Chris Cooper, Paul Giamatti, Colm Feore, Sally Field, and Chris Zylka, The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is set to be released on DVD and Blu-ray later this month.

Because I want to see more villains like the ones from TASM2, who were inspired by the villains from Joel Schumacher's Batman movies.
Doopie - 8/12/2014, 5:55 PM

A Sinister Six movie is a great idea, just not when it's this early on in a franchise that has so far been shit.
Quick1029 - 8/12/2014, 5:56 PM
@CaptainObvious
The Lizard was still cool.
NicolausCopernicus - 8/12/2014, 5:56 PM
how about focusing on the movie itself instead of setting up future sequels?
Doopie - 8/12/2014, 5:57 PM
@TheRationalNerd

lol - don't think I've ever been too cool for anything. except giving a friend my blood when he needed it. I was too cool for that ;)

i can't be the only one that feels this film will bomb
pesmerga44 - 8/12/2014, 6:03 PM
How to set up the Sinister Six and coincidentally the entire Sony Spiderman universe. Follow the Iron Man 2 model and remove what ever chance this movie had to be an actual film and stuff it with as much universe building as possible.
Darthrageracerzero - 8/12/2014, 6:03 PM
this will bomb like gotg
TheRedCondom - 8/12/2014, 6:04 PM
I haven't seen this movie yet, kind of shows my interest in this franchise.
0megaDaGod - 8/12/2014, 6:04 PM
'How to ruin the Spider Man franchise' would've been a much more apt title

@TheRationalNerd

When you watch something as bad as TASM 2 was, venting helps ;) that's why I clicked the link.... Still can't believe how bad they've ruined Spider-Man

Darth is right

Sinister Six will bomb like gotg ;)

How dare they try and do a new concept with a CBM? How dare they.
SuperCat - 8/12/2014, 6:11 PM
Guess the Vulture could be cool.
marvel72 - 8/12/2014, 6:11 PM
not sure how a sinister six set up movie can work,if they commit a crime in the movie,wouldn't spider-man show up to stop them? then it would be a spider-man movie.
marvel72 - 8/12/2014, 6:13 PM
@ Darthrageracerzero

how has guardians of the galaxy bombed?
MarkV - 8/12/2014, 6:15 PM
BANEofExistence - 8/12/2014, 6:16 PM
vulture will just seem like a rip off of The Falcon now, RHino will seem like an Iron Man ripoff character, Doc will be hard to compare to Alfred Molina, Mysterio will be cool and goblin has potential (Dehaan did great in the deleted stuff)
MarkV - 8/12/2014, 6:20 PM
If by "new" you mean all villains will be created by one bland, faceless boring corporation. Then yes, enjoy all that "NEW."

Just called it Sinister Oscorp.

I actually liked TASM 2 . It was a great film in my opinion. Marc Webb definitely understands who Spiderman is and the only thing I didn't like was how rushed the Harry Osborne storyline was. If the movie just focused on the Electro storyline instead it would have been better. I also thought the rhino was perfect the way they bookended his character in this movie, he is a better side villain than main villain any day.
TheIncredibleHulksta - 8/12/2014, 6:23 PM
...but that means I have to buy the dumb movie

Dingbat - 8/12/2014, 6:24 PM
I enjoyed both these movies the first time I saw them but have found them difficult to sit through a second time.
CaptainObvious - 8/12/2014, 6:25 PM
A Sinister Six movie is a stupid and desperate idea. Why not just make a Spider-Man movie where Spidey fights the Sinister Six? Easy. Sony desperately wants a piece of that Avengers money and is using the closest thing they have to a team-up film.

Also, it doesn't even deserve the name 'Sinister Six' when Avi Arad said that the Sinister Six aren't really bad guys who are just misunderstood and just want redemption.
1) They ARE bad guys. If they weren't, they wouldn't be called the Sinister Six.
2) They don't want redemption or forgiveness. They are villains who have no remorse for their actions will do anything to get what they want.
3) Arad in his "brilliant" wisdom said they hate Spider-Man because he's so different from them. Anybody who believes this is an idiot because the Sinister Six hate Spider-Man because he keeps standing in their way. That is why they teamed up. Alone, they don't stand a chance against Spidey. Together, they are a threat that can challenge him.

At least WB has the entire DC universe and Fox has both the X-Men and the Fantastic Four. Spider-Man is a blip in the Marvel universe, which is why attempting to create a cinematic universe on par with what Marvel Studios is doing and what WB is beginning to do with DC is a stupid, cynical, and desperate move to keep a fatigued franchise from reverting back to Marvel.
