STAR WARS: Liam Neeson Is Up For A 'Qui-Gon Jinn' Spin-Off

While talking to Yahoo, the Taken 3 actor admits that a return to the galaxy far, far away as deceased Jedi master Qui-Gon Jinn sounds like a "terrific" idea. He also says he's watched the Force Awakens teaser, and has some concerns about that new Lightsaber!

Let's face it, nobody in their right mind thinks The Phantom Menace is a good movie, but Liam Neeson's Qui-Gon Jinn is generally considered to be one of the few bright spots. The character met his end in that film thanks to dual-lightsaber wielding Sith Lord Darth Maul (another highlight), but with all of these planned spin-offs in the pipeline, what about a solo adventure for Master Qui-Gon? Of course there's the possibility that he could return as a "force ghost" in some capacity too, and Liam Neeson seems open to either option. Have a look at his video interview with Yahoo, in which he also shares his concerns about the practicality of the new cross-guard Lighsaber seen in the hand of the mysterious Kylo Ren in the teaser trailer for The Force Awakens.

Starring original cast members Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew, Kenny Baker and franchise newcomers, John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, Gwendoline Christie, Lupita Nyong’o and Max von Sydow, Star Wars Episode VII is set to be released on December 18th, 2015.
