These are getting harder and harder to decipher - that's IF there is even anything to figure out in the first place! But we'll play along with Mr Webb for now and assume he's giving us a hint about something to do with the movie here. The above pic appears to be Webb (or someone else) holding ..something. Is is a piece of broken glass? I'm sure it's something more pertinent to the plot, but what? Does this reflect anything from Spider-Man lore that I'm missing? Sound off with your thoughts and ideas below.

In The Amazing Spider-Man™ 2, for Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield), life is busy – between taking out the bad guys as Spider-Man and spending time with the person he loves, Gwen (Emma Stone), high school graduation can’t come quickly enough. Peter hasn’t forgotten about the promise he made to Gwen’s father to protect her by staying away – but that’s a promise he just can’t keep. Things will change for Peter when a new villain, Electro (Jamie Foxx), emerges, an old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, and Peter uncovers new clues about his past.

These pictures are meaningless... as meaningless as the supposed Easter egg at the end of the first film.

@Claire Yep

I guess that this is the beginning of a new age where directors are going to constantly show random news from their upcoming movies through social media; no matter how interesting the news is.
Havensent - 2/11/2013, 1:06 PM
lol @ ClaireLannister's post.

The no hashtag is odd..I dunno, maybe this is just him picking up part of a smashed camera lens or something! But you never know.

Has anybody heard of that new rumor about the Amazing Spider Man 2 being connected to the Marvel Cinematic Universe? supposedly the cranes, that were in the movie that help Spidey get to Oscorp Tower, were presumebly there so as to build up the damage that was left over from the New York City battle that pursued in the Avengers. Also, the battle in the Avengers takes place in May or June 2011, while the events in TASM took place in May of 2012, as supported by all the dates in the poster on the movie all contained a May 2012 timeline. So then there the question of, if Spidey already knew the Avengers, why wouldnt he call them? Simple. The studios hadn't come to a cross licensing agreement until TASM2, so they just chose not mention it until plans were finalized.

Again, this is all a rumor, but have any of you heard this here on CBM? I sure haven't.

(I posted this comment the Ultimate Spider-Man article, decided to post it over here due to complete relevance, just in case you all saw the same comment from me earlier)

sevenwebheads - 2/11/2013, 1:18 PM
It's not necessary that it should mean anything or be a clue some sort. By now we should get that Marcs got himself a new hobby, he posts a pic every filming day, while some of the pics might reveal a few things here and there, most of them are going to be just random stuff taken while filming.

There's blood on that glass I bet its PP

@MrYurMumm Cool. I'd rather TASM take place before the "Battle Of New York". Otherwise I'd just keep thinking why Capt. Stacy didn't act more promptly to Peter's tip about The Lizard... and why NYPD didn't react to The Lizard's biological warfare with more firepower (they should have been prepared).

Glass is made by sand. Therefore, it's obvious we're getting Sandman.
StrangerX - 2/11/2013, 1:28 PM
I thought he was trying to imitate Transformers with info being transferred to the glass
CaptainAmerica31 - 2/11/2013, 1:30 PM
I think Some of these are just production pics nothing special
CaptainAmerica31 - 2/11/2013, 1:33 PM
@yurmom TASM took place after the battle, I don't see a stark tower or anything. No battle damage nothing. I'd say it's just wishful thinking
Marxman12 - 2/11/2013, 1:33 PM
TASM 2 better have a Breaking Bad reference in it or Imma be pissed! Lol.
MrYurMomm - 2/11/2013, 1:33 PM
@95

I agree with the beforehand, although I don't mind this at all. Hell, maybe Spidey will be in the Avengers 2, but at the end decides he wanna be solo, but Stark hands him an New Avenger card, just in case he changes his mind.

THAT right there, I believe, would satisfy the community that would like Spidey in the MCU but not necessarily an Avenger, which is completely opening the doors to more villians Spidey could deal with in future films.

Just my two cents.
KNIGHT3000 - 2/11/2013, 1:34 PM

@novaprime You have your caps lock on. Just letting you know. :)
MrYurMomm - 2/11/2013, 1:42 PM
@Spidey31,

As I mentioned, it was a rumor that I've stumbled upon but haven't noticed here on CBM, so i thought I'd share, as it could turn out to be true. But then again it couldn't, so take this info with a grain of salt. But just think about it, because to me, it makes complete sense for them to intro Spidey to the MCU. Sony and Disney could do a royalties/percentages agreement from profits of Avengers 2, while adding hype to both the Avengers 2 (which pretty much guarantees an even bigger audience and box office numbers than before, possibly dethroning Cameron's Titanic, and quite possibly get scary close to Avatar numbers) and then it'd boost the popularity of Spidey through the roof after Whedon's 2nd bomb drops.
novaprime - 2/11/2013, 1:43 PM
SOURCES ON IGN.COM WERE STATING THAT NORMAN OSBOURNE IS GOING TO BE THE NEW VENOM AND THAT DOCTORS ARE GOING TO BE TESTING THE SYMBIOTE ALIEN IN OSCORPE LAB? I HOPE IS NOT TRUE

I don't think they would hire an 18 year old Texican, but thank you for the support! But a man can dream, can't he? ah if only, if only.

AC1 - 2/11/2013, 2:07 PM
I think Webb is just trolling us. Think about it - everyone always wants to know the tiniest details about the goings on in films while they're being made, begging for behind the scenes news and spoilers. Webb's [frick]ing with us; he's literally giving us the tiniest detail - a shard of broken glass or sugar glass.
thenarrowsfx - 2/11/2013, 2:11 PM
There's a reflection in the glass.
HavocPrime - 2/11/2013, 2:22 PM
