Emma Stone's Gwen Stacy Glimpsed In TASM 2 Chinatown Set Pics

Check out some set snaps from today's shoot in Chinatown which feature our first look at a returning Emma Stone. They're taken from a distance, and we only see Miss Stone from the back, but we get to see a couple of shots of a scene between Gwen and Peter (Andrew Garfield)..

Thanks to Tina Stavola for the pics. Upset that we didn't get to see Emma's lovely face in any of them? never fear, this young lady was lucky enough to get a very nice close up straight from the set earlier today.



In The Amazing Spider-Man™ 2, for Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield), life is busy – between taking out the bad guys as Spider-Man and spending time with the person he loves, Gwen (Emma Stone), high school graduation can’t come quickly enough. Peter hasn’t forgotten about the promise he made to Gwen’s father to protect her by staying away – but that’s a promise he just can’t keep. Things will change for Peter when a new villain, Electro (Jamie Foxx), emerges, an old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, and Peter uncovers new clues about his past.

Talk about coincidence, this is the exact same street where Raimi filmed a scene with Maguire and Dunst in Spider-Man 2

It's great that Dan Mindel is cinematographer. There are going to be great lens flares and the yellow light reflections on the road are already looking great.

Ah man... perfection. Plus she's so down to earth it seems, especially for an oscar winning celebrity.

When she stumbled at the Oscars I wished I was there just to help her up. Everyone has their celebrity crush but... love her.

Yeah. But she'll serve perfectly as Gwen. She was the best part of the last movie and her inevitable fatality will be heart-wrenching for sure.

Spider-Man 2 captured one of my favorite comics with Spider-Man No More. I hope TASM 2 or 3 captures the Death of Gwen Stacy just as well, which is my second most favorite Spider-Man comic.

My favorite arc is the Black Costume/Venom... so hopefully TASM series fixes that too.

Not really, honestly. She still doesn't have that "supermodel" air about her. No doubt perfect but I just can't see her as a red head.

Perhaps a perfect MJ doesn't exist, at least not at the age that Webb wants her at.

It's hard to get a "supermodel" redhead with both the acting chops AND the looks. I guess it's better to go for talent over looks in the end.

Plus Jennifer could never do it due to her commitment to both X-Men and Hunger Games now... that girl's busy.

I was just thinking that jlaw would make great MJ if she dyed her hair red. Then I thought if we are dying hair red, let's get Kate Upton. At least then her breast would be the right size and her face would look like a model's. I might not even care if she could act or not.

I don't see what the big deal is about Emma. Even completely made up she's just alright. Jennifer Lawrence is hotter (smoking hot and sweet), Raimi's Gwen Stacey was hotter, Mary Elizabeth Winstead is smoking and shoulda been MJ and Woodly looks really boring.

So Peter will have a love triangle with two mediocre chicks when MJ should have blown Gwen away. If she dies, I'll pay to see the movie tho.

Garfield is the worst Peter Parker since Nicholas Hammond (this Gens Nicholas Hammond?) but Stone is a great Gwen Stacy.

@Canon38 Raimi's Spider-Man was Spider-Man. Webb's is more just a bad CGI fest. It doesnt capture the Spirit of the comics.
A year ago people were screaming the horrible Webb Spider-Man costume was better than Raimi's but now Webb just ripped Raimi's suit big time. So that debate is very much over as even Webb finally threw in the towel and accepted the better design.
