Emma Watson Passes On CINDERELLA
We heard that the Harry Potter/Perks Of Being A Wallflower actress was in talks to star as the titular heroine in Disney's live action version of the classic tale, but according to Variety she has declined to accept the role.

This may leave many fans disappointed, as I don't think we've had a more spot-on piece of casting in some time - but as you can see from the below Tweet from Variety's Marc Graser, the lovely Emma Watson won't be playing Cinderella in Disney's live action adaptation, which has Thor helmer Kenneth Branagh lined up to direct.
We don't have any more details right now, but apparently scheduling conflicts were always a possibility so perhaps that's the reason Watson was forced to pass. The movie still has Cate Blanchett attached to play the Wicked Stepmother, and Gabriella Wilde (The Three Musketeers), Imogen Poots (Fright Night) and Alicia Vikander (Anna Karenina) were all up for the lead role at one point too so perhaps the glass slipper will pass to one of them now.
