Deadline reports that actor Michiel Huisman (Treme, Nashville) has been cast in NBC’s Carlton Cuse pilot The Sixth Gun, an adaptation of the comic series by Cullen Bunn and Brian Hurtt. He will play Drake Sinclair, who is described as "a rogue gunslinger and handsome bastard." In addition, TV Rage report that Pedro Pascal (The Good Wife), James LeGros (Ally McBeal) and Chin Han (The Dark Knight) have also signed on. According to them Pascal will play Special Agent Ortega, "the younger of the two Pinkerton detectives who must follow Agent Mercer’s (Aldis Hodge) lead". LeGros will play Bill John O’Henry, a gunslinger and friend of Drake Sinclair's, described as "a mysterious man who holds a wealth of knowledge about the supernatural, as well as four of the six guns". And finally recent Arrow cast addition Chin Han will play Chow, a “brilliant Machiavellian schemer”. Quite a cast, my interest in this just went up a notch.

"During the darkest days of the Civil War, wicked cutthroats came into possession of six pistols of otherworldly power. In time the Sixth Gun, the most dangerous of the weapons, vanished. When the gun surfaces in the hands of an innocent girl (Ramsey), dark forces reawaken. Vile men thought long dead set their sights on retrieving the gun and killing the girl. Only Drake Sinclair (Huisman), a gunfighter with a shadowy past, stands in their way."

good one Gusto!

Hellsing - it seems like it's the kinda-sorta well reviewed book that no one has read

I've read it, currently on the 5th trade. It's pretty cool. You get zombies, and voodoo and cool cursed guns. It's kinda like the good, the bad and the ugly meets Supernatural.

It's basically a western with a magic. It's a fun read!

Been reading it since the first issue. Great characters, fun storyline. Hopefully they remain true to the comics.

Read two issues and it certainly feels like its born to be a movie or tv series.

Lost is one of my favorite genre shows of all time and with Carlton Cuse serving as The Sixth Gun's executive producer and showrunner, I'm fully on board.

Thanks Norrin!

Yeah, this is a cool book to base a show on. Would've thought AMC would've been a better fit. Hopefully it'll work at NBC.
