TASM 2: Marc Webb Teases A Mysterious Man In Black

It's Venom! ..okay, so it's probably not Venom. But check out the latest set image posted to Twitter by director Marc Webb, which does feature another glimpse at the Oscorp set and a dude looking pretty shifty in a black suit..

I'm pretty sue that isn't a member of the crew, and unless he's a very smartly dressed extra, we'll assume he's a member of the cast. A black tin of fruit wouldn't be a scientist's usual choice of office attire, so who is he? What's he doing at Oscorp? Is Marc Webb completely [frick]ing with us with these Tweets?

In The Amazing Spider-Man™ 2, for Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield), life is busy – between taking out the bad guys as Spider-Man and spending time with the person he loves, Gwen (Emma Stone), high school graduation can’t come quickly enough. Peter hasn’t forgotten about the promise he made to Gwen’s father to protect her by staying away – but that’s a promise he just can’t keep. I think Marc Webb just likes to play with people. I think he sees the Spider-Man fans as dough in his hands on ants under a microscope. He loves messing with them for the sake of it... because he can.

The second I guess, it's wrong. I wish it was Smythe or Eddie Brock. But just like Stephanie Wzostak is rumored to play Janet AKA Wasp. Now she's playing a character from Man=Thing, yeah Ellen Brandt is a man thing character who is an A.I.M. version of Black Widow? WHAT?!?

Marc could be giving us misdirection. I like his sense of suspense, though. I sure hope Sony gets off his back this time. You could tell in the first one the execs still had too much say in the movie. Similar mistakes were identical to those of Spider-Man 3, ie pacing, crappy villain motivations and development, and so on.
