TASM 2: Marc Webb Once Again Teases Ravencroft

The director previously revealed TASM 2 would involve the Ravencroft Institute, and now he's posted a new pic to Twitter giving us a glimpse of one of the facility's security guards. Could this place be playing a prominent part in the story?

In The Amazing Spider-Man™ 2, for Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield), life is busy – between taking out the bad guys as Spider-Man and spending time with the person he loves, Gwen (Emma Stone), high school graduation can’t come quickly enough. Peter hasn’t forgotten about the promise he made to Gwen’s father to protect her by staying away – but that’s a promise he just can’t keep. Things will change for Peter when a new villain, Electro (Jamie Foxx), emerges, an old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, and Peter uncovers new clues about his past.

@Spideyguy94 True words my friend!This sequel is either gonna make or break this franchise.I can't see people buying into another Sony Spidey reboot if this movie isn't successful.

If TASM2 fails, the only way to save the series would be to put Spider-Man in THE AVENGERS 3, or at least make the series clearly part of the MCU.

i thought the first movie had its moments but it could of been better,so i hope this time round we get the spider-man movie the first film should of been.

seriously, we need cameos of other villains while we see the Institute. easter eggs create excitement!

wouldn't it be kinda cool if we could see some inmate cameos,thinking about it though in these new spidey movies we've only seen the lizard,so where did all these other foes come from if the lizard is the first.

@marvel72 yeah, a lot of stories and villains could be set up with this place. Easter eggs everywhere would be great. And a build-up towards the Sinister Six would be Spidey's "Avengers."

This movie has the potential to be really great. From what I heard about Ravencroft sounds like we might get a sneak peek at future villains.

I'm surprised 2 say I feel hopeful 4 this film given the crap attack that was the last film, the one drawback is Webb is still directing

I love TASM, but I'm still cautious about TASM 2. It could end up being an overfilled mess like Spider-Man 3, or it could be another great entry in the Spider-Man mythology. I'm feeling optimistic though.

Shriek, Carrion, Carnage where all the patients of Ravencroft.

Don't you forget about Vermin (Kraven's Last Hunt story arc rules), he was also there.

Will we see Dr. Kafka ?

Glad to see Ravencroft. Colm Feore and now this, I agree... Sinister Six has got to be all but definite to cap the trilogy.

@Jollem - cool picture. i always like when his costume is drawn all fabricy like that. haha, makes me uncomfortable but i like it too. sometimes that's what i like best about the Spidey fan films, is the way the costume often comes out looking home made in the right way.

Spider-Man 3, X-Men: Last Stand, Superman Returns, Batman and Robin prove that making money and "breaking the franchise" aren't mutually exclusive.

Personally I believe that in a perfect world the best comic book movie should be a Spidey movie but these guys dropped the ball in TASM. I'll approach the sequel with caution and hope that the correct tone is used this time and less copy and paste from other CBMs

who is this? who is ravencroft laura croft sister is larue croft sister in spider-man comics? If it's from the ultimate comics i dont read those comics what is she a shirink or something. So know is there ganna be sceans were super villans are laying on a lether couch crying and wineing about there feelings?

Yeah comic book movies based in reality sounds great. Give me sam raimis camp thats has more of a comic book feel. They shoulden't be based in reality.

And i don't care if they gave him a more comic book costume, to little to late Webb this is ultimate spider-man not amazing spider-man.
