UPDATE: JUSTICE LEAGUE In Trouble? An Update On The Planned 2015 DC Team-Up Movie
Latino Review's El Mayimbe just appeared as a guest on the Schmoes Know Movies podcast to drop a Justice League scoop.. Unfortunately the "scoop" was actually an update on the movie's progress, and one that fans will not be happy with! UPDATED with video.
I'm sure you remember back when we reported that Christopher Nolan and Christian Bale were possibly on board Warner Bros. planned Justice League movie. This scoop was dropped by El Mayimbe and he seemed pretty sure that the duo behind the Dark Knight trilogy would return to the DC team up flick, much to the joy of fanboys (well, most fanboys) everywhere. Well now it SEEMS that's not going to happen, as he reveals to the The Schmoes Know Movies podcast that the "current team" can't get on the same page for whatever reason, and the movie may - once again - be in trouble. He reckons that WB are in fact now looking more closely at a Man Of Steel sequel. But, he is adamant that the project isn't dead though, and insists that it will still happen..at some point. But if this is true, it doesn't bode well for WB's planned 2015 release. Obviously there is an element of "shirt's on fire..now it's out!" to all of this, and whether you buy that Nolan and/or Bale were EVER on board the movie will depend on how reliable you think El Mayimbe is. We know his sources are solid, so we're willing to believe these guys did indeed consider re-teaming for Justice League, unfortunately this means the movie may well be in jeopardy! What do you guys think? Sound off below.
