It's only a brief mention of the upcoming reboot, but in an interview with Collider the Transformers director talks about the CGI used to bring the tirtles to life, and is adamant that this is not "his" movie, but director Jonathan Liebesman's.

The majority of the interview is all Pain And Gain talk, but around the 3:58 mark Bay discusses the TMNT reboot briefly. Although it was recently revealed that the promotional logo for the movie had brought back the words "Teenage Mutant" to the title, when asked if the correct title is simply Ninja Turtles he responds with a "yeah, yeah". Now of course this interview may have taken place before that Cinemacon reveal. Bay then agrees that the film is probably going to be a lot bigger than people expect, and says the CGI/mocap stuff is "really real, really cool. It's this new performance capture stuff," He adds that the models of the Turtles themselves look amazing.

@LordoftheThrones- The script went under a complete re-write and it's now TEENAGE MUTANT Ninja Turtles.

So before saying they should CANCEL the film, why don't you do yourself a favor and actually SEE IT first, huh?

But I guess that's asking too much.

Drop Megan Fox and drop Bay as well, give someone else the reigns and get a decent movie out of this. I don't personally have a problem with Bay, but he evidently has some kind of crush on Megan Fox and can't make intelligent decisions while around or talking to her, hence the reason she was ever cast in any of his movies.

@LordoftheThrones- I'm not hanging you for anything. Look I LOVED TMNT when i was a kid and still do! But i believe in giving a movie a FAIR SHOT before i CONDEMN it.

you sound just as ludicrous as that...FuturePast guy who keeps saying people should boycott Iron Man 3 because of the "twist" it's ludicrous. See the movie FIRST. THEN maybe boycott if you don't like it. lol.

Now I do agree, the casting seems terrible. Megan Fox...ugh. The cast for the turtles are...double ugh.

I don't like who they chose for Splinter either.

But they are all gonna be MOCAP remember that people we won't actually be seeing those people since they'll be motion capture!

I'm still giving this movie a fair shot.

Those who wanna keep being [frick]ing morons and chant that they must cancel this movie when we haven't even heard a single thing about the NEW RE-WRITTEN script can go on and keep being idiots

I'll be there (not opening night) maybe a day or two after, to enjoy the movie for what it will most likely be- a fun, generic popcorn flick.

I'm not gonna cry because the Turtles don't look exactly as they do on my childhood TMNT blanket LMAO. I'm going to be there to enjoy the movie for what it is with a truckload of popcorn.

If the movie REALLY does end up sucking, they'll just reboot it anyway. Easy fix. I'm keeping an open mind on this movie. I have no doubt it will be one of those films that will come completely out of left field and will surprise everyone.

I'm all about giving the long one in the middle to Bay. But this thing has been (critically) doomed from the jump just for his name being attached to it.. Poor turtles

And hey- at least Michael Bay seems like a cool dude in person. At least he isn't one of those snobby Hollywood directors.

He seems like a cool cat who's not above saying profanity and yeah- he is big on potty-humor. Who cares? At least it kinda makes him more relatable. I like to believe lots of us here on CBM have potty-humor too. He just seems like a cool dude. Different from most other directors.

I'd say Michael Bay and Zack Snyder have so far seemed like the coolest dudes in Hollywood. Just laid back.

And coincidentally they went to film class together! lol

I just want to see Raphael and Leonardo actually use their weapons and run somebody through.

Original movie is and probably will always be the best, but if Leo and Raph slice and dice someone I will be happy with this...as long as they aren't [frick]ing aliens

My only question is why Bay is involved with the Ninja Turtles? He obviously was an adult when the show began in the 80's. He probably has never watched an episode of any incarnation. I don't even think he knows the Turtles' names. So why?

Im not ludicrous at all and atleast Im not some dickhead who goes around spoiling movies! I just believe this movie will be bad based on its cast and creative team! I mean even one of the Comics creator yates the film so...yeah! Im still going to see it but do I think it will be good? NO! Do I think they should turn it over to a new creative team or cancel it until we get a good cast and director? YES!

@LP4. As much as I like your attitude, there is something inherently wrong with seeing a movie before boycotting it.

That said, I will be seeing this if it looks like a "crowd participation" movie. Revenge of the Fallen was one of the worst movies I've ever seen but watching and hearing the rest of the audience suffer through it was gold.

@UltimaRex- I just don't believe in condemning a film before even giving it a fair chance. We haven't heard hide nor hair about the re-write and we really have no idea what this film will be about. We DO however know the film was RE-titled- TEENAGE MUTANT Ninja Turtles. So, that's a good start.

I'm just tired of everyone and i mean like 90% of this site constantly bashing this film and Michael Bay. Give Bay a rest already. His record isn't squeaky clean i get that but he's not even the director.

And like i said- we really need more information to go off on before we start condemning a film IMHO
