Just saw the promo on ABC! This show looks so cool! They're really making it clear that its connected to the moves. And man I hope that dude is Luke Cage!!!

That ABC promo was DOPE, but I'm thinking the Black dude with he "hoodie" was Cloak a'la 'Cloak and Dagger', considering ABC was talkin about an adaptation with them awhile back.

@ TheGodkiller

The actor with the hoodie is almost 40. So if he is playing Luke Cage, then he wouldn't be that young.

I do agree tho. If he is playing Luke Cage he should be a lil more bulkier. I wouldn't mind that much tho

@TheGodKiller-

They have announced that Nick Fury faked Coulsen's death in The Avengers as a way to give the team that extra push.

@kownthomer: They haven't announced anything of the sort. In fact, Joss Whedon made it pretty clear that the method of Coulson's return would be an unacknowledged mystery in the pilot, and that they'd go about answering it throughout the season.

And frankly, if Coulson's death had been a fake, it would completely undercut the dramatic impact of that scene in the film-- so for the sake of good drama, I'm hoping that your explanation is wrong anyway.

I hope the Coulson on the TV show is a sentient LMD and not the real Coulson.

only interested unless other supers (and not made up supers made just for the show, i mean actual established heroes.) are frequently featured. looking foward to thor 2 because it will take place in other realms where shield can't get to. I have nightmares of going to see DC movies with shield agents looting the batcave and the fortress of solitude for intel.

After looking at the site, it looks like I was right, "Rising Tide" will be some sort of conspiracy theory/news/wikileaks type thing trying to expose SHIELD and superhero stuff. This is a good chance to use that Jack McGee character from the Hulk movie, as this would be a good update to his "asshole reporter" persona from the old Hulk show. Rising Tide will most likely be a mild annoyance for the SHEILD characters, trying to expose the stuff they are trying to control/hush up. The show will be a sort of reverse X-Files.
