Sylvester Stallone has confirmed that Mickey Rourke will indeed return for the Expendables threequel, which we now know will be directed by Patrick Hughes. The iconic action star also dropped a few more updates on what (and who) we can expect to see.

As you can see it looks like Wesley Snipes is officially on board, and Jackie Chan and Antonio Banderas are possibilities. Stallone also mentions that they're going to try to top The Raid. Best of look guys.

didn't really care much for Rourke's character in the original, but I'm fine with him returning. Hopefully Carl Weathers will get cast.
Shamo - 5/16/2013, 1:02 PM
Ex2 sucked. hopefully this one will be good like the original.

"I once knew a man named Tool, to me he was the epitome of cool. He was good with a knife...bad with a wife..."
RorMachine - 5/16/2013, 1:06 PM
I thought Rourke was literally the only good thing about the first one. His character had SOME depth to him, and was interesting. The rest were a bunch of macho, cheesy cardboard cutouts.
ForeverPowerful - 5/16/2013, 1:07 PM
NIC CAGE!!!

Get him in there as the villain, and get him to overact the entire time!!!
Gmoney84 - 5/16/2013, 1:14 PM
I heard they're trying to resurrect Bronson for this shit. Holla!
Tevii - 5/16/2013, 1:14 PM
they should get Manu Bennett in the next one
Tevii - 5/16/2013, 1:15 PM
and old action stars they still need.... Thomas Ian Griffith, Jeff Speakman and Mark Decascos
Tevii - 5/16/2013, 1:17 PM
fettastic - the directors cut doesnt have much new action... but it is better, it gives a little more background to the characters
ForMeToPoopOn - 5/16/2013, 1:24 PM
Sly's pretty much a poopsnacker.
DutchMovieFan - 5/16/2013, 1:33 PM
As Vanko said, "Good to be back."
ForeverPowerful - 5/16/2013, 1:36 PM
Plus I know he already said he wouldnt do it, but I'd love to see Clint Eastwood show up as Bruce Willis CIA characters boss and tell him to shut his [frick]ing face while holding a 44 to it.
TheAmazingSpidey63 - 5/16/2013, 1:41 PM
Best of luck to these guys. I did enjoy The Expendables and The Expendables 2 (although, the first one was better than the second one, not to say that the second one was horrible. It was still enjoyable). And to add ing Mr. Chan and Snipes for the third one? HELL YEAH!!!! Now, PLEASE add in Harrison Ford, bring back Jet Li, would love to see the Rock in this, [frick]ing Carl Weathers in this one, and bring back Arnie so both him and Weathers could recreate this awesome scene...

;)
sephiroth211 - 5/16/2013, 1:41 PM
Wesley's on board?!

GUNSMITH - 5/16/2013, 1:42 PM
WHY HAVENT THE ROCK OR VIN DEISLE BEEN ASKED TO JOIN?
GUNSMITH - 5/16/2013, 1:42 PM
SNIPES IS ON...YES.
Inhuman - 5/16/2013, 1:52 PM
They need to bring in Danny Glover, Mel Gibson, Carl Weathers, and Wesley Snipes for Expendables 3
BlackIceJoe - 5/16/2013, 2:02 PM
I would like to see Clive Owen, Mel Gibson & Liam Neeson added to the next film. Plus maybe bring in Cuba Gooding Jr. too.
Timerider84 - 5/16/2013, 2:12 PM
Clint Eastwood FTW as a cameo like Chuck Norris did. Go ahead, Make my day! Harry, as in Dirty Harry. Make this happen now!!!!!
Minato - 5/16/2013, 2:18 PM
There was a thread on here about a year ago where we was posting fictional Expendable candidates. One of my favorite comment sections ever on CBM.
Inhuman - 5/16/2013, 2:33 PM
80s action stars. Doesnt get any better than Danny Glover, Mel Gibson, Carl Weathers, and Wesley Snipes
Inhuman - 5/16/2013, 2:34 PM
How awesome would it be to hear Danny Glover say "Im getting too old for this shit"
BuzzKiller - 5/16/2013, 2:35 PM
Raid...Raiding...Raiders....Indiana Jones?! Oh Harrison Ford! Either that or Howie Long,Marcus Allen and Bo Jackson. Lol
Pokeysteve - 5/16/2013, 2:38 PM
Rourke was the best thing in Expendables?!? You're right. Statham beating the shit out of a half dozen A Holes and knifing it up was boring. Listening to Rourke talk though......riveting.
exe - 5/16/2013, 2:47 PM
Needs more Mike Tyson.
nach1wan - 5/16/2013, 2:49 PM
the director's cut of ex 1 is splendid, but i didnt understand shit about intro monologue. the idontknowwhat of the night and somethin, what was that all about?
and i loved more ex2, is exactly what the first one should had been, hilarious. not even trying to pretend to be serious like the first one. not that i didnt like rourke's role though, it was incredible
Rowsdower - 5/16/2013, 3:08 PM
I hate the Expendables "franchise."

But love the concept. It's amazing non-fun they are.
knighted - 5/16/2013, 3:20 PM
Micky Rourke was one of the best things about expendables? I must have missed that. Looking forward to Wesleys return. But the last expendables was mediocre to me.
MrCameron - 5/16/2013, 3:30 PM
Cool, but where the hell are Mel Gibson, Harrison Ford, Clint Eastwood, and Steven Segal?

Also better get Christopher Walken, Al Pacino, or Nic Cage to play the villain(s).
bbarber2323 - 5/16/2013, 3:38 PM
Of course Ror enjoyed Mickey. Shocking.
beane2099 - 5/16/2013, 3:39 PM
Director's cut of Ex 1 was way better than the theatrical version. These are by no means perfect movIes but they're definitely enjoyable.
gaikinger - 5/16/2013, 4:42 PM
If they do a Raid rip off they should kill off the whole cast and really make it heavy. Go out Young Guns style.
gaikinger - 5/16/2013, 4:44 PM
Bring Karl Urban in with full Dredd costume or wait....wait...wait...2 words.....CLINT EASTWOOD!
gaikinger - 5/16/2013, 4:48 PM
I too have not seen either of these movies because i do not miss Commando, Lethal Weapon, Tango and Cash, Above the Law, Red Heat, or any of the other glossy over the top cheeseball action flix. I just made the huge mistake of renting The Last Stand with Arnold and what a crapfest that was......more Dredd please.
Morbius - 5/16/2013, 5:02 PM
As long as he gets Jackie Chan and Wesley Snipes in this then I will be happier than hell!!!!!!
l0rdleg0las - 5/16/2013, 5:56 PM
Where the hell is Kurt "MOTHER[frick]ING"Russel?
mgeoff88 - 5/16/2013, 6:30 PM
Wesley Snipes and Jackie Chan? HELL YEAH!!!
PhantomPunch - 5/16/2013, 7:04 PM
Bring in Scott Adkins as another completely different character
BlueDemon - 5/16/2013, 8:01 PM
ANTONIO BANDERAS! [frick] yes!
Protonite - 5/16/2013, 10:09 PM
The Raid was awesome. Glad Stallone thought so too.
