GODZILLA'S Massive Size Teased In First Official Concept Art

Still no proper look at Godzilla's head, but this awesome new concept art does give us a look at the big guy (and we mean BIG..bigger than he's ever been depicted before by the looks of it) emerging from the deep while civilians scatter in terror..

Toho Co., Ltd.’s Godzilla franchise contains one of the most widely recognized movie monsters worldwide, including more than 25 films, multiple television programs, video games and book series. Legendary, which has been developing the project, and its partner Warner Bros. will return the character to its epic roots with a gritty, realistic actioner. The project will fall under Legendary’s overall agreement with Warner Bros.

The film is directed by Gareth Edwards, who earned worldwide acclaim for his feature directorial debut, “Monsters.” Edwards directs from a screenplay by David Callaham (“The Expendables” films), David S. Goyer (the “Dark Knight” trilogy) and Max Borenstein (upcoming “The Seventh Son”). Legendary’s Thomas Tull and Jon Jashni will produce, along with Roy Lee, Dan Lin and Brian Rogers. Alex Garcia and Patricia Whitcher will serve as executive producers alongside Doug Davison, Yoshimitsu Banno and Kenji Okuhira.

Starring Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Ken Watanabe, Elizabeth Olsen, Juliette Binoche, David Strathairn and Bryan Cranston, Godzilla is set to hit theaters on May 16, 2014.

I just hope there is something for Godzilla to go toe to toe with not just military vs Godzilla. Been there done that. My fave Godzilla movies all involved guest stars like Gamera,Mothra,Jet Jaguar. Have him beat the hell out a Kaiju category 5.
JGAR - 7/16/2013, 7:07 PM
@TheBaroness89

He WILL fight 2 other Monsters!

BlueDemon - 7/16/2013, 8:02 PM
Hopefully this is as good as Pacific Rim or else just leave it to the Japanese to handle Godzilla.
OverlyManlyMan - 7/16/2013, 8:05 PM
Godzilla? You mean my pet lizard?
DarthTesla - 7/16/2013, 8:10 PM
That is pretty bad ass looking. Godzilla should be [frick]ing HUGE.
vtopa - 7/16/2013, 8:12 PM
The lucky thing for the director is that he is most likely well aware of the last debacle and is also aware of Pacific Rim's failings (even though I really liked it). He can use that information plus what people don't like about the Transformers movies to tailor this flick to be a critical success (IF HE'S SMART).
OdinsBeard - 7/16/2013, 8:13 PM
thats just his ball sack...
OdinsBeard - 7/16/2013, 8:17 PM
