Check Out Union J's KICK-ASS 2 Music Video "Carry You"

But you might want to do so with the sound down! Why this is being used to promote an R rated film like Kick-Ass 2 is beyond me (the last line may suggest they're taking the piss?) but there's some new footage from the movie featuring Chloe Moretz (Mindy/Hit-Girl) in there anyway.

Kick-Ass, Hit Girl and Red Mist return for the follow-up to 2010’s irreverent global hit: Kick-Ass 2. After Kick-Ass’ (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) insane bravery inspires a new wave of self-made masked crusaders, led by the badass Colonel Stars and Stripes (Jim Carrey), our hero joins them on patrol. When these amateur superheroes are hunted down by Red Mist (Christopher Mintz-Plasse)—reborn as The Mother F%&*^r—only the blade-wielding Hit Girl (Chloë Grace Moretz) can prevent their annihilation.

When we last saw junior assassin Hit Girl and young vigilante Kick-Ass, they were trying to live as normal teenagers Mindy and Dave. With graduation looming and uncertain what to do, Dave decides to start the world’s first superhero team with Mindy. Unfortunately, when Mindy is busted for sneaking out as Hit Girl, she’s forced to retire—leaving her to navigate the terrifying world of high-school mean girls on her own. With no one left to turn to, Dave joins forces with Justice Forever, run by a born-again ex-mobster named Colonel Stars and Stripes.

Just as they start to make a real difference on the streets, the world’s first super villain, The Mother F%&*^r, assembles his own evil league and puts a plan in motion to make Kick-Ass and Hit Girl pay for what they did to his dad. But there’s only one problem with his scheme: If you mess with one member of Justice Forever, you mess with them all.

Kick-Ass 2 hits theaters August 16th, 2013.

jessepostal - 7/22/2013, 6:30 AM
haha obviously its a joke, and it also shows that hit girl no matter how strong and violent she is, is still a girl. And she gets turned on by terrible music and girly boys :)
ABLEE337 - 7/22/2013, 6:33 AM
OK, this makes me not want to see Kick-Ass 2.

This song is my guilty pleasure but it definitely does not suit this movie.
Mika did the song for the first movie and I loved it, it felt pretty heroic.

Real hit-girl would kill those lame "singers"

Person who thought that this is a good idea for kick ass 2 song should be fired and killed by Big Daddy or someone.
StrangeBlackPantherDoctor - 7/22/2013, 6:46 AM
Really fits the tone...

Hey, as a prepubescent teen, (not sure if this seals my gayness for good) I liked the song quite a bit. Granted, to you guys it's like One Direction, but I agree with Cher over here, it's my guilty pleasure. Oh, and *cough* I already posted the article about Jessie J.

Dear Great Britain,

Please stick to rock & roll. We have too much shitpop music already.

Love,
America

P.S. You can keep Madonna. We don't want her back.

What, the [frick]? JEEZ! Wrong song for a comic book movie...
Christuffer - 7/22/2013, 9:13 AM
Okay, it's obviously a joke. If you think this video was supposed to be serious, you're gonna have a bad time.

It's a joke about Hit-Girl being turned on by the boy band, since we all know she's more manly than Kick-Ass himself. Good Lord, you guys make me sad sometimes
Ranger14 - 7/22/2013, 9:30 AM
Joke or no joke, it was excruciating to watch and listen to. Couldn't even make it through half of it. Bubble gum music...ugh. Glad I don't have any kids so I don't have to listen to that kind of music.
HeadPool420 - 7/22/2013, 10:16 AM
Well that sucked and made me lose even more interest in this movie!
wbrowning79 - 7/22/2013, 12:22 PM
I think its supposed to be a joke, but what would have been really funny if they did a parody song of that and just kind of explain the idiocracy of modern day music and why adolesent girls are so attracted to silly musicians like that. I mean that might have been the tone they were going for but if it was I guess its a little TO subtle.
wbrowning79 - 7/22/2013, 12:22 PM
JEEZ! I hope thats the case!
OverlyManlyMan - 7/22/2013, 6:13 PM
Males be acting like [frick]ing females these days!
wambam91 - 7/23/2013, 3:29 AM
I hope they put this exact scene in the movie but at the end Hit Girl says "Hah GAY!!!!" and walks out.
maito - 7/23/2013, 4:52 PM
joke or not joke or misleading promotion I don't care, I feel completely related to HIT GIRL, having to keep track of super heroes and boysbands.
It is that awkward moment when a normal girl makes you realize you're a girl too and men are men.
