He was perfect as Sabretooth. I hope we get to see him in more X-Men films.

I gotta watch that doc on PBS...glad comic books are recognized for being a great form of entertainment for decades now.

Liev has a terrific voice & narrates very well.
If I had his voice I would read all my books out loud.

He killed it as Sabretooth. Yeah, so he wasn't as big as in the comics. Hugh Jackman was too tall to play Wolverine, and that turned out beautifully. Get this man another CBM role!

I always thought that the reaction to his Sabertooth was negative, it's good to know that I'm not alone in thinking he was great. I think he's a really underrated actor in my opinion, also we share a birthday

lol @ sameoldthing

I watched ransom recently and was surprised to realize he was one of the kidnappers. To think after all this time I didn't realize we were already acquainted.

Look forward to checking this out.

I wish it was four part so that they could divide up the last 35 years into 78-late 90's (Crisis, Civil War, Death of Superman, age of good cartoons across Marvel and DC), late 90's to today (comic books no longer in drug stores, cinema age, etc...)

Still looking forward to it!

Love me some PBS

He was a brilliant Sabretooth and was one of the best part of Origins, hoping he comes back for futrue X-Men installments.

He was a great Victor Creed, would like to see him become the absolute sadist that is Sabretooth down the road.

Looking forward to this program. Sounds like a program every cbm and comic book fan should watch, especially if they are not familiar with the history of comics.

Liev is a shining example of terrific acting and the right personality greatly overshadowing a lack of physical resemblance. They could have made him look more like Sabretooth, (ala hair and costume,) but he had such a commanding presence that it was completely unneccessary. Miles above Tyler Mane in the same role.

Liev=Best Sabretooth ever.

I know he looked nothing like Sabertooh but he & that opening title sequence were the only good things about X-Men Origins: Wolverine.

He was a greeeeat sabretooth!

Shame he was used in that shit movie.

A good sabertooth IMO would be for us to have something like this look

with this attitude

A few people have said here that he should play Lex Luthor. Anyone else agree?

Saw him in Thailand a year back. What a great lad. Hopes he gets a cameo or a small role in DOFP.

-------------

He won't, remember The Wolverine takes place 10 years after X3 & Days of the Future Past, takes place a few years after The Wolverine. And in the original continuity, Sabertooth is dead. Only way for a cameo, would be in the past, but even as bad as "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" was, it would still have to answer where or when that story too place, since in that film Styker was a grown man & in X-Men First Class, William Styker was only a child.

So I wouldn't hold your breathe on a cameo, honestly.

Oh God man I'm sorry. Anything with birthdays and Sabertooth are bad news!

I agree with Fogs...
Tyler Manes physicality combined with Liev's charisma and acting ability would be the perfect translation of Sabertooth.
But since that cannot happen, I'll take Liev and his acting chops over a physical presence anyday in a movie.

He is actually a big DC comics fan and he has always wanted to play a hero part from that Universe but he is kind of to old now.

He would make an awesome Kalibak though. I used him in a fan cast I did years ago for a Justice League: Apokolips movie

Liev Schreiber is a grat actor. He was awesome as Sabertooth but I really liked him in the movie Salt. I hope he comes back as Sabertooth in future movies.

I am also really enjoying his new show Ray Donovan. The show has a lot great acting and a great cast. Schreiber would also be a good Punisher if he didn't come back as Sabertooth.
