Give it a few months and all you "comic BOOK fans" will be all like, "This character is my favorite! I want Jason Statham for the role! He better have a helmet! This better be done right!" lol
Bodwulf - 7/31/2013, 5:41 PM
I'll give it a shot Ror. It does kinda look like Shang Chi.
JazzBebopHero - 7/31/2013, 5:49 PM
I liked Wang Lee Hom in LUST CAUTION directed by Ang Lee as well as LITTLE BIG SOLDIER with Jackie Chan. So I'm looking forward to seeing him as a comic book hero.
Swiftsword777 - 7/31/2013, 6:06 PM
Cool my girlfriend Ming Lee loves this guy :)
tarZen - 7/31/2013, 6:22 PM
It's funny that you people make fun of anyone you don't know. Consider this. Lee Hom is a bona fide megastar in Asia who plays a variety of instruments and huge concerts. Compare your own existence to his.
WhiteBolt - 7/31/2013, 6:29 PM
Que? Does he also deliver Chinese food?
NeoBaggins - 7/31/2013, 7:17 PM
First Stan sends a subliminal love note Andrew Garfield, now he's in love with a dude named WANG lee HOM... Oh, they didn't finish spelling his name.

You idiots need to grow up and stop bashing
Someone's name you can't even PRONOUNCE
CORRECTLY. And to the guy who says he follows
"Asian culture" needs to do some more research.
This kid has been big across Asia and even here in the US
He's AMERICAN btw and obviously fluent in English.
If you watch little big soldier which he stars with alongside
Jackie chan and "lust caution" which he stars alongside
Tony Leung, then you'd be impressed. Excited for this project and
Finally an Asian male lead. Thank you Stan lee

It's pronounced "Wong" Lee "home"
andrew991116 - 7/31/2013, 9:03 PM
Just FYI, he's actually Taiwanese, not Chinese. Taiwanese people are pretty sensitive towards that issue.
VaCubFan - 7/31/2013, 9:18 PM
have you confirmed this with your alter-ego- Eh Maybe?
Humperdink - 7/31/2013, 10:27 PM
"It's pronounced "Wong" Lee "home"

If his middle name was 'Way' and he was a cab driver, he'd be a bigger hit!

Would like to see more Asian super heros - hopefully some that don't have to be martial arts experts!

Some of you guys are really stupid. You don't need to make unnecessary comments and be rude.
I agree with you tarZen.
mgeoff88 - 8/1/2013, 12:06 AM
An Asian superhero on the big screen? Hell Yeah! I would be more hopeful if this movie was being written by someone who was involved with one of the first three Bourne movies.

I did really enjoy Real Steel though.
bluedude - 8/1/2013, 12:14 AM
he he ....wang

@humperdink

l o l in the recent words of james gunn, you needa reevaluate your situation in life buddy. You do stand up comedy for a living too? Damnnnnnn you too funny boy.
xcan - 8/1/2013, 12:19 AM
FTW and Tar? Who appointed you guys as the 'World acceptance police'???

Stan Lee gets my respect due to his involvement in the origin of mainstream comics, but simply because he released some 'recent' material (90's? 2000's?? I have no fcckin clue), and it's being made into a movie with some guy no one in the Western world know's who the fcck he is, I should suddenly bow down and suck on the tit of this production?

Not this guy. Everything about it seems lame, and I am comfortable saying that.

Until the Chinese can see what I write on this site, these comments shall stand. Liberate Tibet and the oppressed! Would love to see China make that movie though :)
hehemata - 8/1/2013, 12:27 AM
wang lee hom is american..

also he scored a perfect 2400 in his SATs

he is a polyglot, polymath, has a high iq, he's tall and rich yet doesn't go the airheaded route many stars have gone

the guy speaks fluent french, korean, mandarin, cantonese, english, italian, german and more, and have acted in all these languages

neckbeards..
MikeHawk - 8/1/2013, 12:46 AM
@xcan

lmfaooo no ones tellin you to suck on anything, relax.
But i'd like to know what exactly makes "all this" seem
so lame?
superpandaman - 8/1/2013, 12:54 AM
created an account to say this...you geeks are sure some racist [frick]s.

you need to get off your high horse. times are a changin' - you don't need to be a good looking white male to be a superhero (and you shouldn't) - I'm glad there are characters like Miles Morales out there.
hehemata - 8/1/2013, 3:47 AM
let me put it this way:

with 2400 in his SATs, this guy speaks better English than ALL of you

and he can speak heaps of other languages too

how many of you here are even bilingual?
ShadowOfTheWeb - 8/1/2013, 5:38 AM

JettJagguarrr - 8/1/2013, 9:14 AM
"SHE BANG!!....SHE BANG!!".....oh?
JettJagguarrr - 8/1/2013, 9:15 AM
This will push movie studios even closer to not picking up another comic book script after this car wreck wraps.
xcan - 8/1/2013, 12:16 PM
Mike?? What?? Who told me to suck on something? I missed that. All I really got from your message was the lame part. Well let me educate you on my thoughts young Mr. Hawk.

Stan Lee is an icon, but Stan Lee of today isn't relevant in the world of comic writing. Any press he receives for recent work is because he's 'The Man', NOT due to quality of current work. But do I like the shit out of him? Absolutely. Would I buy recent Stan Lee written work? Not a chance.

Chinese involvement. China requires strategic partnership on movies / business whatever comes into their country. Why do they do that? To maintain control and flat out lie to their own people with propaganda. I love the people, but China as a communist country? Not so much.

Two reasons why I don't give a fcck about this. My opinion, and I'm satisfied with it :)
SunfireUrA55 - 8/1/2013, 3:43 PM
Hmm..."Superhero?" Is it because he knows martial arts?

What are his powers? Where is his superhero costume/mask? Are you that closed mind Stan?
