She could definitely do the action parts and would look cool doing it but two things are keeping her back 1) She cant act to save her life and 2) her and Cavill broke up and hiring her for a Justice League movie is just asking for trouble.

I dont think she's a good fit at all. I say pick a decent actress first, it's not real fighting we are seeing on screen. The made it look like Keanu Reeves could do amazing Kung Fu over a decade ago. If they hire Gina Carano , it will because she is a good mma style fighter. Would wonder woman fight in a MMA style no. Just imagine if Superman did, it's the same thing. I say get a decent,tall actress first , everything else can be done with movie magic

I agree she prob doesn't have the chops for WW but she's not TERRIBLE! There are plenty of worse actresses getting regular work in Hollywood right now.

The only way DC will risk a Wonder Woman movie is if Marvel puts out a successful movie starring one of their female heroes. I only say that because Marvel has taken chances with their properties and DC is trying to play it safe. Honestly before Avengers proved it could be done the chance of JLA actually coming to the big screen was nil. If Guardians of the Galaxy proves successful, you can bet that a better attempt at Green Lantern will follow. DC is playing it safe, using Marvel to test the waters fir certain types if films. It's a smart strategy from a financial standpoint...but it's what's keeping DC from putting many of their characters in film. Despite the fact that Wonder Woman could easily hold her own on screen.

Carano is a gorgeous woman! Who knows, with the right script, director and some coaching she could get the part down. Like Ror said there are worse actresses getting roles. Other then Gina my other pick would be Nadia Bjorlin, absolutely gorgeous, has those big clear blue eyes and is at the right age for the part.

While sexy, Carano can't act. She was underwhelming in Haywire and Fast 6. Jaimie Alexander would be a perfect WW, but she's currently playing Lady Sif, which is basically the same character. Regan from Legend of the Seeker would be my pick for WW.

Wasn't the first Marvel movie Howard The Duck? Out of Avengers, X-Men, Spidey, and everyone Howard was first. DC has been making films since the late 70s. Marvel started in the late 90s.
