PACIFIC RIM Gag Reel Hits

Take a look at a pretty funny gag reel from the upcoming home release of Guillermo del Toro's Pacific Rim. One thing seems certain from this; the cast had a lot more fun making it than I did watching it! Click on to see the vid..

I love this movie.
Areajerm - 10/8/2013, 9:25 AM
Pacific Rim was undeniably the best film of the summer. Fact. Anyone who didn't like it probably enjoyed Man of Steel. LOL!!!
JoeMomma29 - 10/8/2013, 9:32 AM
@ Areajerm

Actually I loved MOS and Pacific Rim, to me those were two of the best movies this summer.
SuperCat - 10/8/2013, 9:32 AM
Second best movie of the summer for me!
SuperCat - 10/8/2013, 9:33 AM
@ Joe

Ditto!
nailbiter111 - 10/8/2013, 9:38 AM
Pacific Rim would've been so much better if they removed all the human actors from it.
HulkbusterNYC - 10/8/2013, 9:42 AM
Nail- agreed.. The terrible acting really ruined the experience for me..
GreenLanternRulez - 10/8/2013, 9:46 AM
I thought this whole movie was 1 big gag reel.
thalidomide - 10/8/2013, 9:52 AM

Damn, Rinko Kikuchi showed more expressions here than in the whole movie.
PsyGuy - 10/8/2013, 10:02 AM
Gag Reel aka Charlie Day being funny.
RorMachine - 10/8/2013, 10:16 AM
[frick] off. Fun is relative..I have fun watching well made, acted, entertaining and engrossing movies..not Charlie Day shrieking like some bastard from Hell while everyone spout some of the worst dialogue in the history of cinema.

mantinium, yes princess, I got that...and? It wasn't a manga, it was a live action movie. Homage is fine but the same rules don't apply to both. If you enjoyed it great, glad you were able to look past all the dirge..I wasn't, and I can back up my reasons.
Gamera623 - 10/8/2013, 10:24 AM
Pacific Rim was hands-down the best movie of the summer. I definity agree with that.
Buying thie BluRay the day it hits.

My freinds and I walked out of that theatre in awe.
My only concern now if how in the hell can Godzilla possibly top Pacific Rim? It just seems like they are releasing Godzilla a year to late. Del Torro beat them to it.
Gamera623 - 10/8/2013, 10:25 AM
"Homage is fine but the same rules don't apply to both."

Why's that?
ChanchoMcGrady - 10/8/2013, 10:25 AM
I liked Pacific Rim, Iron Man 3, AND Man of Steel. And also Star Trek Into Darkness, The Wolverine, and The Lone Ranger. And some more movies. I have yet to see a movie I hated this year, so either I'm not nearly as picky as all of you, or I've just had good luck.
RorMachine - 10/8/2013, 10:36 AM
Gamera623, because one is a CARTOON! ..cartoons are supposed to have cartoon characters in them, movies are not.
RorMachine - 10/8/2013, 11:16 AM
No, I hated none of them. PR had its moments (all monster fights), I loved Man Of Steel, and quite enjoyed IM3..despite too much reliance on comedy.
CyberBishop - 10/8/2013, 11:23 AM
Caps lock is your friend..
And I loved Pacific Rim.
CyberBishop - 10/8/2013, 11:25 AM
Oh and I liked mos and really liked im3 as well.
FantasticSpidey - 10/8/2013, 11:27 AM
It was ok. It was off for some reason. Elba was fantastic, as was Charlie Day and the guy from Torchwood. But the lead was boring as hell.

It felt like a Del Toro film, but not nearly as good as Hellboy II was.

I doubt I would buy this.
Gamera623 - 10/8/2013, 11:32 AM
"because one is a CARTOON! ..cartoons are supposed to have cartoon characters in them, movies are not."

Why not?

Im not tryng to be snarky.
Im just saying that if someone says "Lets make an homage to Voltron style Anime and even have cheesy amime style characters in it."
Its rediculus to respond with "Oh no we cant do that if we are to film it live action. Its just not done that way."
charlie2094 - 10/8/2013, 11:44 AM
@gamera623

Cartoons/Anime are a completely different medium to film with a completely different audience. Some of the extravagant/cheesy elements of such cartoons would not play well at all in front of a different audience. On film, such elements would be laughable.

Super disappointed with this film, a lot of the acting and lines were awful and it took itself way too seriously for such a film. Some of the action was good sure, but not much else. Far preferred the likes of Man of Steel, Pacific Rim only got good reviews because of having "Del Toro". Put Michael Bay there and they'd be way lower, even though I far prefer Transformers to this as they were at least fun to watch and didn't take themselves too seriously
preacherfan666 - 10/8/2013, 11:44 AM
anyone expecting Citizen Kane in a giant monster movie has something wrong with them.
Gamera623 - 10/8/2013, 11:48 AM
Pacific Rim took itself too seriously? O_0
preacherfan666 - 10/8/2013, 11:50 AM
No, I'm sorry, the action scenes in Transformers are pathetic compared to Pacific Rim. At least I can understand the Action in PR. And as long as an action movie has well shot action in it, i dont much give a [frick] if it has some bad acting. AN ACTION MOVIE THAT IS CHEESY AND HAS SOME BAD ACTING??? SURPRISE SURPRISE!
preacherfan666 - 10/8/2013, 11:50 AM
Pacific Rim was all about its cheesiness it reveled in it. Look at Charlie Days character.
IIIAdamantiumIII - 10/8/2013, 12:05 PM
I loved Pacific Rim and I loved Man Of Steel :D
captainbeta - 10/8/2013, 1:08 PM
I felt this was the best movie of the summer. Action, comedy and suspense; what more do you want in a movie. Special effects were top notch. It deserves a sequel!
JoachimVR - 10/8/2013, 1:17 PM
And zero bloopers involving Idris Elba. CAUSE HE'S A GODDAMN BOSS.
patrat18 - 10/8/2013, 1:31 PM
needs sequel.
TheAcidSkull - 10/8/2013, 1:53 PM
lol at the people bitching about pacific rim
it was an awesome movie.
ATrueHero1987 - 10/8/2013, 3:02 PM
I liked this movie & it'll be a first day purchase for me!
LucasMend - 10/8/2013, 3:59 PM
People who say shit about terrible acting and stuff probably hate trash movies or popcorn movies. What a boring world would it be if there were no bad movies around, imagine a world without the classic Plan 9 from Outer Space, which is awful and has some of the worst acting actors ever, and yet it was, and still is a big inspiration for science ficiton. Same with the very early Romero movies.

Popcorn and trash movies need to exist, you can hate it, but stop criticizing people who like it. Not everyone who goes watching a movie wants a Hitchcock or Nolan experience. Some people want to take their friends or girlfriends to have some fun or remember old times with tribute films (like Pacific Rim). Well.

Now, some movies are just so bad it's not even fun, but there are movies so bad that are awesome (Commando - 1985 for example). I'm just saying, respect opinions.
GetsugaTensho22 - 10/8/2013, 4:42 PM
I feel so bad i didn't watch this in the cinema :(
CantThinkOfUsername - 10/8/2013, 5:10 PM
You know, I saw Pacific Rim, I liked Pacific Rim but I don't think it's as great as everyone says. Maybe I just need to watch it again, maybe i just missed something that everyone else got.
crazyray - 10/8/2013, 6:50 PM
DAT RINKO KIKUCHI TONGUE!!!!!!

movie was alright. Special effects in IMAX 3D? 10/10.
Movie dialouge? 3/10. Fact. Ron Perlman stinger ftw.
I love me some Neon Genesis, but man this couldn't hold a candle to that in terms of character development.
HulkbusterNYC - 10/8/2013, 7:29 PM
Ckal- you obviously directed your comment towards me so I just want to respond. Yes acting is a major criteria for me when enjoying a movie. Elba was great as usual but the rest were absolutely terrible. I didn't care for any of the cast or their characters. I never said it wasn't fun at times, which it did have it's moments, but overall the story, the acting and lack of character development made this movie a disappointment for me. It's my opinion. You're allowed to have yours. Deal with it.
dallyomally7 - 10/9/2013, 12:25 AM
@Areajerm Really enjoyed Man of Steel and this movie.
Richardness - 10/9/2013, 3:40 AM
Charlie Day...so freaking magnificent
