Miller Wants Rosario Dawson For "Martha Washington"

Dave Gibbons has told Digital Spy that Frank Miller's favorite actress to play Ms. Washington is the phenomenally hot Rosario Dawson..

Gibbons, who worked on the graphic novel series with comics writer and filmmaker Frank Miller, told DS that Dawson would be an ideal actress for the eponymous character, a woman who enlists in a reinvented version of the US Army.

"I know a great favorite of Frank Miller's is Rosario Dawson, who was in Sin City and has been in some other things," Gibbons said.

"Her name is not seriously in anybody's frame but I do think that it would be a wonderful part for an actress because she is a very strong character."



Gibbons added that he and Miller have been too "busy with other stuff" to develop the Martha Washington movie further. But the pair is eager to explore the character on screen.

"Frank and I have been in love with Martha since we first created her and I'd like to think that maybe movie-goers would be as well," he said.

Martha Washington first appeared in the four-issue comic book series Give Me Liberty, published in 1990 by Dark Horse Comics,and written by Frank Miller.

CMan, I agree with the Martha Washington caption re. the casting rumour - "corniest load of crap" if he really thinks that Dawson should be considered for Martha Washington.

Ummm . . . .? Rosario Dawson is about as hot as hot gets. "i still do her" @ cman 555. You've never had a piece as good as that and you never will, unless you find oil in what i'd imagine to be a fairly voluminous tummy. Rosario has been the thing since KIDS. The only saving grace of "Alexander".

That first pic SirPrize reminds me of Sarah Rainmaker from Gen 13, I think I smell gold if they ever go live action, and if they do I just hope it is better then the animated movie they made.

I know Sarah is Native American but they could play it off I'm sure and the resemblance is uncanny

oh awesome didn't know that about her... I'm kinda thinking of making a Gen 13 fan cast now, I used to love that comic I should get back into it I quit reading it shortly after J. Scott Campbell and Brandon Choi left, the stories just got blah after they were gone, but I heard it got better.
