antoineflemming - 11/12/2013, 7:05 PM
aaannnd it looks like it goes back to being campy and overly comedic after a good couple of episodes. Hope I'm wrong but...
antoineflemming - 11/12/2013, 7:05 PM
last couple episodes were really good though.
zemus - 11/12/2013, 7:05 PM
Yea, this weeks episode was REALLY good. I felt like they DID something (and I am someone who likes the show). Also they name dropped, but used the heroes REAL names, so it felt ALOT more natural.
BlackAmerica - 11/12/2013, 7:08 PM
Also the overkill device is straight out of an early nick fury agents of SHIELD issue. However it was developed by hydra in the comics and called overkill horn.
Lozzy - 11/12/2013, 7:10 PM
0:11 Mockingbird??
TheRealRemyLebeau - 11/12/2013, 7:11 PM
Great episode. Try to tell some folks this show is getting good week by week. Shield is more shady than we thought. Sky is going to be a future hero or villain with the news about her parents being told to her little by little.
TheRealRemyLebeau - 11/12/2013, 7:14 PM
@blackAmerica cool info. I think hydra and aim have been at work in different episodes. And the shield base transkellion was teased in this episode.
TheRealRemyLebeau - 11/12/2013, 7:17 PM
^ triskelion (sorry wrong spelling)
zemus - 11/12/2013, 7:20 PM
Lozzy94: According to IMDB that is "Petra Larsen"
jamesbrando3 - 11/12/2013, 7:22 PM
I'm calling it, Skye's going to turn out to be Jessica Drew and Grants older brother is going to be Tony Masters, the writings on the wall lol
Inhuman - 11/12/2013, 7:22 PM
So this confirms that Thor: The Dark World happens before Agents Of SHIELD. So Iron Man 3 happens 6 months after the Avengers in 2012, and in 2013 summer/fall Thor The Dark World begins and in September Agents Of SHIELD happens and Thor The Dark World ends
SCURVYDOG619 - 11/12/2013, 7:23 PM
That spear have something to do with Kurse?

marcvader1 - 11/12/2013, 7:24 PM
Never thought I'd say this but Fitz is starting to grow on me.
Inhuman - 11/12/2013, 7:24 PM
Grant is being groomed to be the first tv made character to cross over into film. Im telling you right now Grant will die in season 2 and be brought back as Wonder Man. He will then cameo in Age Of Ultron
TheRealRemyLebeau - 11/12/2013, 7:25 PM
Barton and Romanoff never need an extraction. Love this episode. Pieces are coming together a walls will tumble. I can see how this show is building up to the corruption in Captain America: The Winter Soldier.
HulkbusterNYC - 11/12/2013, 7:27 PM
Yeah Fitz was good in this episode. I enjoyed it. Still trying to find it's feet but it has gotten much better. This Coulson plot better be good after all of this hype building it up.
antoineflemming - 11/12/2013, 7:28 PM
Fitz has always been more tolerable than Simmons to me. He at least takes things kinda seriously in a serious situation. Simmons, nope. Spear is most likely a Dark Elf weapon. Still doubt any of these characters will cross over into the films. Maybe Coulson will show up in Avengers 2.
TheRealRemyLebeau - 11/12/2013, 7:29 PM
I don't think kurse ever went to midgard. How did a staff end up on earth when nobody had one in the battle in London. Very confused.
Inhuman - 11/12/2013, 7:30 PM
@remy

I agree man. I was thinking the same thing about SHIELD being corrupted leading into Winter Soldier. People who aren't watching this show but watch the movies are gonna miss out on little information that most likely will affect the movies.
Inhuman - 11/12/2013, 7:31 PM
@remy

Havent seen Thor yet, but my guess is the trailer scene where the dark elves are on earth and Thor comes out of nowhere. My guess is an item was left from that ship that was tearing through the floor
UrbanTheEmcee - 11/12/2013, 7:32 PM
I don't know what made so many of you like this episode so much, but it was boring to me. Last weeks episode was still the best one. One thing this show has done for me is alert me to "The Goldberg's" which I love. Probably never would have crossed paths with that show had it not been for AOS.

Inhuman - 11/12/2013, 7:32 PM
@batz11

Im telling you Ward is gonna be Wonder Man. He looks just like him!
Priest - 11/12/2013, 7:33 PM
The show IS getting better. I am pretty sure it will get a 2nd season.
ckal - 11/12/2013, 7:34 PM
wow.

that looked terrible.
TheRealRemyLebeau - 11/12/2013, 7:34 PM
Simmons is becoming sexier by the week. Fitz & Simmons make an excellent science team. The relationship between the two is starting to be fleshed out. The whedon family are making me care for these characters. I want to see May fleshed out more though.
Inhuman - 11/12/2013, 7:34 PM
Mae is starting to become sexy as hell or is it just me
TheRealRemyLebeau - 11/12/2013, 7:36 PM
@urban I've started watching the Goldbergs because of this show too lol. It's funny in its own way.
DrDoom - 11/12/2013, 7:37 PM
Simmons is hot as [frick]
Inhuman - 11/12/2013, 7:38 PM
@batz11

He said that???? Damn……. oh well lol. Either way though I think Ward can pull off Wonder Man. He has that hero type in him
Inhuman - 11/12/2013, 7:39 PM
I might get some flack for this……. but I think Ward can hold his own like Hawkeye can. Put Ward on the Avengers and I really don't see a difference between him and Barton.
TheRealRemyLebeau - 11/12/2013, 7:39 PM
@Inhuman you got to get your ass to a theater quick and see Thor 2. I thought it was the beat solo mcu film. It's a thrill ride. Oh and the staff looked white in that preview. Nothing from the dark elves ship was white. Sorry your going to be spoiled quickly about Thor movie.
TheRealRemyLebeau - 11/12/2013, 7:42 PM
Uh oh @Inhuman. Hawkeye is a beast and a higher level than ward. I say ward is level 7 and barton is level 10. But I like your idea of ward being wonder man. Skips a lot of crazy backstory for him.
marcvader1 - 11/12/2013, 7:44 PM
Agree with you guys mentioning the first signs of corruption slowly starting to rear its head. I see Coulson and his team starting to break away a bit from the fold.
TheRealRemyLebeau - 11/12/2013, 7:45 PM
@0mega if you haven't seen episode I would say everyone was interesting. They all were further developed except maybe agent May. She is still cold hearted. Feel bad for coulson and skye.
GodzillaKart - 11/12/2013, 7:46 PM
As long as they kill Ward I'm cool with it.
TheRealRemyLebeau - 11/12/2013, 7:48 PM
The bad feeling on shield started in the Fzzt episode with the feelings of the agent from item 47. I think a shield agent killed skye's parents.
JohnMagee - 11/12/2013, 7:49 PM
I'm disappointed that this episode is NOT about the giant 'doggy' that you see at the end of the movie - they're just going to leave that thing roaming the planet?

What staff are we talking about in this movie? Loki's staff somehow made it to earth?
TheRealRemyLebeau - 11/12/2013, 7:51 PM
This show will reward us. We just need to enjoy the ride. The Marvel comics connections were huge again in this episode. The hub base gave the show an even greater scope. This episode showed that agents are expendable and they must trust the system even though it smells of corruption.
