If Skynet ever makes these fellas self aware we're in trouble! Take a look at NASA's new 6 foot 2 inch tall humanoid robot, which bears a resemblance to a certain Marvel superhero -- there's even a glowing NASA logo on its chest!

Developed for the DARPA Robotics Challenge taking place at the end of the month, Valkyrie 1 is designed to help humans during disasters and took a team of engineers at NASA's Johnson Space Center in Houston, Tex. just nine months to design and build. So what's the ultimate goal? "We want to get to Mars," the team leader for Valkyrie, Nicolaus Radford tells the Huffington Post. "Likely, NASA will send robots ahead of the astronauts to the planet. These robots will start preparing the way for the human explorers and when the humans arrive, the robots and the humans will work together in conjunction building habs [habitats], laying foundation and just working together in that tight relationship. Technologies such as Valkyrie are going to really lead into the type of robotic systems that will one day be the precursor missions before the astronauts go to Mars.". Pretty damn cool eh? That's all fine and dandy but after all this time we still can't put AI in that shell? It's still just a fancy remote manipulator arm? We've had those since the 50's. Oooooh, it's got 20 different cameras on it, well so [frick]in' what? Have it debate philosophy with me, have it conceive and complete objectives by itself, then call me. Until then it's just a toy like I could buy at Toys R Us.

This one's for my star spangled opposite from Earth-2. I did my best to answer your questions: 1- No. The red, white, and blue "F*CK YEAH!!" tattoo does not add three inches to your tallywhacker, and, no.. I didn't tattoo the Union Jack on mine.

2- No. Fatman and Little Boy isn't a completely terrible nickname for your balls, but it doesn't add weight, either. Also, I suggest you get a medical opinion on the apparent size disparity of your sack.

3- No. I don't have a sister in my reality, so, no.. I wouldn't know if she would make a better wife than the one you married in yours. Also, that's just weird, you redneck bastard. Though, inbreeding might explain the size disparity of your testicles (among other things).

4- And, finally.. No, I don't think Budweiser goes very nicely with Corn Flakes. I don't think Budweiser goes very well with anything.

With love, cipher

Didn't some scientific-type recently say that the universe was a giant hologram?
Spidey91 - 12/13/2013, 8:44 AM

Why do real robots look like cheap generic oversized action figures?
cipher - 12/13/2013, 9:12 AM
Ooh, OOH. That burned, you star-spangled bastard. I'm gonna give you a proper arse-kickin' once I've finished my green tea. I'm gonna take the Union, snap the flagpole in half, and jam it straight up your--..
cipher - 12/13/2013, 9:13 AM
Yeah, ah.. I don't really drink a lot of tea. I don't like it all that much, really (not all of us do), but, ah.. well, green tea's healthy an' shit, so--..

Balls. I just gave you unlimited ammo, didn't I?
cipher - 12/13/2013, 9:23 AM
Ooh. Did you mumble that through a mouthful of extra greasy Big Mac? You did, didn't you, mate?
cipher - 12/13/2013, 9:29 AM
Hahahahahahahaha, you cheeky bastard.

Do Androids dream of electric sheep? Wowww, we're that much closer to I, Robot.
marantaz - 12/13/2013, 9:43 AM
And after exploring Mars and making it habitable for humans, Mr. Valkyrie 1 is retired and tending bar at a space port. "You want some more?" Sad.

I have a feeling will be seeing a rifle and camouflage paint on this in the near future.
AGoodHonestMan - 12/13/2013, 11:13 AM
Well this isn't the first attempt at an Iron Man-type suit/machine. Has anyone ever heard of TALOS? Its the US Army's attempt at making an Iron Man-type suit. Of course they don't have arc reactor tech but still its a major first step.
Mr2099 - 12/13/2013, 12:43 PM
This is only the beginning. Wait until we get a Robocop!
