Some very sad news coming in from Chicago today: Harold Ramis died at 12:53 a.m. from complications relating to autoimmune inflammatory vasculitis - a rare disease that involves swelling of the blood vessels. The 69 year old actor is probably best known for his turn as Egon in the Ghostbusters flicks, but he leaves behind a great body or work as a director and writer including Stripes, Caddyshack, National Lampoon’s Vacation, Groundhog Day and Analyze This.

Thanks for all the laughs Mr. Ramis, our thoughts are with your family at this tragic time.

Does Ghostbusters have a blu-Ray DVD? I would totally but it.
ManCalledSting - 2/24/2014, 9:53 AM
Wow.......man......Ghostbusters 1&2 are two of my favorite movies ever. My mom told me when I was 2 or 3, I would run around with my toys yelling "ghostbusters", but being 2 or 3, it came out "Go Eattas!!!" Truly sad news, and he will be missed. Even though I would have been interested in 3rd movie, I think now that should be dropped.
Nomis - 2/24/2014, 9:53 AM
NO! This is really sad! He was so talented and funny!

A great "strait" man to Bill Murry in 'Stripes' and 'Ghost Busters'!

RIP Mr.Ramis! Thanks for making life funnier!

Aww man. That is sad news. Please just stop any plans for a 3rd movie, don't disrespect the actor and character by doing something silly like Egon Jr.

Well, RIP, I hope they have unlicensed nuclear reactors wherever you are.
Pasto - 2/24/2014, 9:56 AM
He did his duty. He's earned his rest. R.I.P

A great talent.

Between this and Murray not wanting to participate, I hope that this means the end to any discussion of another Ghostbusters movie.

May both he and the franchise rest in peace.
