THE AMAZING SPIDER MAN 2: Fourth International TV Spot Features New Footage

You won't understand what's being said (unless you speak French that is), but this latest TV spot for Marc Webb's upcoming Spidey sequel provides quite a few new glimpses of previously unseen footage, including a new shot of Dane DeHaan as the Green Goblin.

In The Amazing Spider-Man™ 2, for Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield), life is busy – between taking out the bad guys as Spider-Man and spending time with the person he loves, Gwen (Emma Stone), high school graduation can't come quickly enough. Peter hasn't forgotten about the promise he made to Gwen’s father to protect her by staying away – but that’s a promise he just can't keep. Things will change for Peter when a new villain, Electro (Jamie Foxx), emerges, an old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, and Peter uncovers new clues about his past.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 stars Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker, Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy, Jamie Foxx as Max Dillon/Electro, Sally Field as Aunt May, Chris Cooper as Norman Osborn, and Dane DeHann as Harry Osborn. The movie hits theaters May 2nd, 2014.

I dont mind that the film is promoting out a lot of trailers and tv spots. I just want to experience the "awesomeness" of this film and i'm hoping it shall deliver.

The shots with Rhino look the most interesting...but that's only 4 minutes of the movie. The rest is a forced conspiracy involving Peter's father and villains with bad hair/makeup.

Soto hates TASM as much as the next guy, so for him to say that TASM2 is, well amazing, that means something.

@Soto

Cue the people calling you a flip-flopper, lol.

But seriously, lots of people didn't like the first, and with everything I'm hearing, from people that saw it, rumours surrounding it...
TASM2 is going to change a lot of people's opinions.

Everything looks and sounds beautiful. And we don't know enough about complete costume designs to make an informed judgement. I can't wait for this flick. Since I can't see Cap2 opening night, I'm gonna make sure I'm there for this one.

I think Electro's power is starting to look like an electrical version of Green Lantern's ring. I wonder if this new uber-powerful Electro will be able to make shapes with his static charges? Well, we'll ALL just have to wait and see the film to find out.
Should be fun.

I like TASM too. But I think they sorta, they false advertised the point of secrets being revealed. And when you think about it, it was really no different the first spider man. It was a rehash. It had a anti-climatic climax, weak villain, think story. But the chemistry, acting, and action was great. The school battle was wicked.

Also Soto are the shots shown like not even a barometer of whats being held back for the film because the common complaint is that there showing too much footage???

@MrCBM

just because one films has the same drawbacks as another, doesn't mean it's a rehash. That like calling TASM a rehash of Matrix Revolutions. Doesn't work that way. But TASM definitely had it's own issues.

@Batmaniac

I agree. I really want Webb to step even farther away from Raimi's series. I like the direction he began with TASM, and I love the Oscorp angle. They're really setting up for Norman to be a huge multi-movie baddie. He's the bossman. I really enjoyed TASM, and Garfield makes an awesome Parker.

I do like that we can't make informed judgements about things we can see, like costume designs. BUT we can say that everything looks and sounds beautiful.

Look, I want to see the film as much as the next Spidey-fan. But showing me trailers doesn't convince me to be excited for it's arrival. We've all been burned too many times before by that. But what they DID show me, we're elements that aren't "re-imagining" characters, as much as inventing from the ground up.

I still will and want to see it.
I'm just concerned.
