Patton Oswalt To Guest Star On AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D.
The fan-favorite actor/comedian will play Agent Eric Koenig -- originally a member of Nick Fury's "Howling Commandos" in the Marvel comics. Take a first look at Oswalt as the character, as well as quotes from the actor on how he landed the role after the jump.
Marvel has announced that actor/comedian Patton Oswalt will appear in a future episode of Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. as Agent Eric Koenig, who made his first appearance in the comics in SGT. Fury & His Howling Commandos #27. The King of Queens actor is a well known comic geek, and jumped at the chance to be a part of the show. "I got a call from my agent saying they want you on Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., and I said ‘hell, yes,’” Oswalt relates. “I’m lucky that I’m visible enough that they wanted to bring me in to play this character. I’d worked with Joss Whedon before on ‘Dollhouse,’ and I guess I wasn’t too annoying and they decided to put me on another one of his shows.
