Michael Bay has to one of the most shallow, misogynist directors in Hollywood. That being said I might see this just to say thank you for not having Shia Lebouf in it

EXODUZ - 4/24/2014, 5:36 AM
Notice there were no American flags in the trailer.. definitely the international trailer
JordanKing - 4/24/2014, 5:37 AM
@kalelhawj I've personally decided not to go see another Transformers movie in cinemas. I can't be bothered to sit through a 3 hour+ explosion fest mixed together with uninteresting characters, toilet and stereotypical humor and have it labeled as entertainment.

And it sucks because on the surface robot dinosaurs sounds like something I would enjoy a lot.

Ah I wonder what people expect whenever they see a Transformers movie? PEOPLE.It's a movie meant to sell toys it's not the Godfather of sci fi action.Hell the series is like the movies.In the series there were annoying human characters who would always end up in some predicament that would make the Autobots trying to save the humans and kick some Decepticon ass.And every episode had Megatron and his allies always wanting to rule the universe.So I ask you again.Was the animated series anythin special in the first place!?Please answer me.

@ Niklander,

I'm gonna go ahead and say yes the original series was something special. Why? 30 years later it's still here and people [obviously] still love it.

Transformers benefited from the age of commercialist cartoons . Because Hasbro just wanted to sell toys they kept cramming more characters into the show (same goes for a lot of 80's toons). Everyone has a favorite transformer(s) but for each person it's a different one. More often than not we'd all watch that show back in the day to see if Omega Supreme or the Dinobots or Soundwave (or whoever our favorite was) was gonna be on. So what transformers created was a legion of fans who liked a couple of characters but all united under one franchise. Brilliant marketing.

And the variety of characters created a richer deeper mythos on that show than we've ever seen on any subsequent Transformers series or movie (except maybe Beast Wars). These newer iterations only ever focus on 7 or 8 transformers at most. It's cause they think people are dumb. We weren't dumb in the 80's. I don't think we are now.

Lost Age?
UltimateHunt - 4/24/2014, 12:50 PM
OMG is this the same trailer?
Optimus83 - 4/24/2014, 1:12 PM
Cool. ...Dinobots, Transformers: Age of Extinction
adamcawa - 4/25/2014, 9:36 AM
@beane2099

I never watched Transformers as a kid, but as a teenager I started getting into Beast Wars. In fact, I collected the toys well before I started watching the show. There were ALOT of them. It's cool that Transformers and Ninja Turtles have continued to evolve to be relevant today.
