Channing Tatum Takes Mila Kunis For A Ride In First Clip From JUPITER ASCENDING

The very first clip from Matrix directors Andy and Lana Wachowski's upcoming sci-fi flick has hit, and features Tatum's albino wolfman explaining the finer points of gravity boots to Mila Kunis' character. I'm not gonna beat around the bush here; this looks [frick]ing terrible.

Channing Tatum and Mila Kunis star in "Jupiter Ascending," an original science fiction epic adventure from filmmakers Lana and Andy Wachowski. Jupiter Jones (Kunis) was born under a night sky, with signs predicting that she was destined for great things. Now grown, Jupiter dreams of the stars but wakes up to the cold reality of a job cleaning other people's houses and an endless run of bad breaks. Only when Caine (Tatum), a genetically engineered ex-military hunter, arrives on Earth to track her down does Jupiter begin to glimpse the fate that has been waiting for her all along—her genetic signature marks her as next in line for an extraordinary inheritance that could alter the balance of the cosmos. From the streets of Chicago to far flung galaxies whirling through space, "Jupiter Ascending" is written and directed by the Wachowskis.

Jupiter Ascending opens on July 18th.

They showed the trailer at FCBD and it sparked everyone's excitement. Im not interested but I'll watch for Sean Bean.

This does look like this year's big box office bomb though. If WB has a 2nd for the year would it urge them to make more CBMs or would it make them more cautious?

ThrotTheUnclean - 5/10/2014, 6:26 AM
I will have to get used to Channing Tatum playing an intelligent person. Not that he is not in real life, it's just the characters I have seen him portray never are.
ShadowOfTheWeb - 5/10/2014, 6:29 AM
haha well played @Throt
QuestiontheAnswer - 5/10/2014, 6:30 AM
Joe likes pregnant women.
Battabing - 5/10/2014, 6:32 AM
The Wachowskis haven't made anything interesting since the first Matrix, which they stole from Grant Morrison.
Had they continued to steal his ideas I bet the next two Matrix films would have been good.

Guardians of the Galaxy looks promising!
Jwe75 - 5/10/2014, 6:37 AM

This movie will make the Lone Ranger's flop look like a slight hiccup.
remembertheking - 5/10/2014, 6:40 AM
wtf was this? dumb damsel in distress stereotype character, male savior who says things as if theyre no big deal. feels like thor and jane fosters relationship. that was just bad. maybe the movie overall will be good. but that one clip sucked.
JoeyGhoul - 5/10/2014, 6:48 AM
I wanna see a video where someone is taking Mila Kunis for a ride *winkwink*
Brainiac13 - 5/10/2014, 6:49 AM

Lol
pointman - 5/10/2014, 8:47 AM
Why do they even allow the wachowski's to make films anymore? They are in that elite group that is allowed to fail upward in hollyood.
LeonardKnows - 5/10/2014, 8:47 AM
I forgot about this one! Haha
Floke - 5/10/2014, 8:50 AM

J0RELLC00LJ - 5/10/2014, 10:00 AM

maninfinesuit - 5/10/2014, 10:03 AM
Mila Kunis is [frick]ing awful. Her voice is worse than nails on a chalkboard.
RaidersX - 5/10/2014, 10:47 AM

Mila Kunis>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Alexandra Daddario
MrFridayNights - 5/10/2014, 1:20 PM
This movie will be the third best scifi movie of the year after Interstellar and Guardians of The Galaxy.
MrFridayNights - 5/10/2014, 1:23 PM
Channing Tatum has improved a lot
TrOnKniGhT - 5/10/2014, 2:28 PM
lol what was so terrible about it, 15 seconds of silly dialogue does not a bad movie make...how would you know what terrible is, you're still using the word frick
SugarYumYum - 5/10/2014, 2:34 PM
@pointman: Uwe Boll iirc funds his own films and Micheal Bay at least knows how to make blockbusters but how people like M. Night Shamlayadingdong, Wachowski's, Brett Ratner and even Bryan Singer (to an extent) are allowed to fail so much has always be a mystery to me.
RaidersX - 5/10/2014, 3:09 PM
The Wachowski's still make great movies, better than Bay's films.
Whether their movies do good or bad at the box office is a different subject.

I will always take a Wachowski film over a Bay's film.
GerMan - 5/10/2014, 4:36 PM
this movie will be better than those generic marvel studio movies.
GerMan - 5/10/2014, 4:50 PM
and you need to rewatch cloud atlas one of the best movies of 2012.

GetsugaTensho22 - 5/10/2014, 6:16 PM
Terrible?

You do mean awesomely interesting, right?
This is on the same level as The Fifth Element or Cloud Atlas!
High Science Fiction!
