We haven't really been covering Tammara Drewe here at CBM, because its a bit...crap looking! But, early word on the movie is actually pretty good, and there is no arguing that this poster is a thing of beauty!




The film opens in Los Angeles and New York on October 8th. Its an adaptation of Posy Simmonds' acclaimed graphic novel. Gemma Arterton plays Drewe, a sexy flirt who returns to her small country village and stirs up dark passions among the locals. Nice! It also stars Dominic Cooper, Roger Allam, Luke Evans, Bill Camp and Tamsin Greig.

Sweet find ROR! :) I've never actually heard of this graphic novel but I said the same thing about the awesome looking Red and Scott Pilgrim when news of their movie adaptations was first announced so I'll give this a shot when I find out a little more about it and see if it looks any good...especially when a beauty like Gemma Arterton is in the lead role of course!!!

Well, it doesn't exactly fit in with the general comic book fan's taste i'm sure! But apparently it very funny. And yeah I'm a fan of Miss Arterton..not just for her looks either, I think she's a pretty good actress.

Yeah, she definitely gave two great performances this year in the ok, but not-so-great, Clash of the Titans and Prince of Persia! I heard that she was pretty good in Alice Creed as well. Anyone seen that?

Alice Creed is apparently great. I thought she was actually the best thing in Clash and Persia..which admittedly wasn't hard but still.

I know what I will be doing. going in for The expendables first, coming out and going in again for scott pilrim lol. i love scott pilgrim comics and the movie is gonna be amazing, but something like the expendables happens only once in a lifetime. gemma is hot but just cant act.
