Deadline report that Battlestar Galactica's Katee Sackhoff has joined the cast of Riddick. She will play the female lead, a character called "Dahl"..



Katee Sackhoff is in final negotiations to play the female lead opposite Vin Diesel in the untitled Chronicles Of Riddick sequel. In the movie, written and directed by David Twohy, the Battlestar Galacrica alumna will play Dahl, a Nordic mercenary tracking Riddick (Diesel).


Apparently she has been rumored to be in the running for the role for a while now. Aside from BSG, Sackhoff (a big comic book fan) has appeared in 24, CSI, and has movies Haunting In Georgia and Evil Sexy Genius coming out later in the year. Production on Riddick is currently underway in Montreal.

I'll judge an actor on the best i've seen them be, and that was frackin great. The best i've ever seen Diesel be is slightly above horrendous.

haha, indeed..actually I did think he was decent in Pitch Black..that's about it. I hated Chronicles Of Riddick so have no hope for another one.

shes not and will never be "starbuck" to me.
I dont think shes hot at all.
And I think shes a piss poor actress, proven by the amount of desent work she hasnt had since bsg.
I think Vin is fine when hes been an action star, other than that tho he cant act.
But Hell I love Pitch Black

VIN DIESEL was the man in A MAN APART, but i agree with most others....the 2nd film sucked balls. I'll still see this in the theater tho, sounds like they are trying to make this more like the first one...

I love Katee (: she's bad-ass
Hopefully this will put Katee on the big Hollywood market and we'll see more of her! I like her on TV, but she needs more roles in high profile films <3
