the writing might be better as well.maybe they can chop tom welling up (because he's acting is wooden) & use him for the paper that would be used to print the comic.

demonhunter15, I don't think Welling has a choice in the matter. Usually in franchises you sign over your rights in terms of your likeness.

I'm actually psyched about this and it was something I'd hope they'd do. HATED the ending of the show, but this could be fun.

So many seasons of foreplay, and the final satisfaction is anti-climatic and as weak as the drawn out series itself.

C'mon, it'll be cool to see Welling as Superman go up against Rosenbaum as Lex Luthor. Here's hoping that the writer takes things in an exciting direction using the show's continuity and relationships.

When Clark went to Apokalips in the end, to push it away, he shoulda passed through Darkseid's place and kicked his ass. That woulda been a much better finally. But, I honestly think all of season 10 sucked more than the rest.

Wow the art looks terrible. And didn't the mini cgi character from the finale clearly have a suit with red undies? So they just copying MOS or new 52?

So a T.V. Show that's about a comic book character is going to continue in comic book form.....O_o......Isn't that just his comic book at this point?

I'm actually just watching season 10 and the whole thing feels like a complete cop out. No original ideas and it sure feels like the writers and actors just want to be done with the show.

I think the best seasons where 1 -5 and then after that, downhill it went. I for one will not be spending any money to read the comic. It's over - let it be.

Does someone, somewhere (Phantom Zone?) actually believe that these comics will be worth while to acquire and read?

First, Smallville was a great show and its final 2 season were as good or better than anything they had done previously.

Next, consider the fanbase for comics. Young males. I used to run a comic shop (in a college town) and the only women who came in were usually the girlfriend/wife or those who wanted the X-Files comic or a mom/girlfriend/wife who was buying a comic as a gift. I believe we only had one female customer who read superhero comics. Smallville on the other hand had an audience that was about 50% female. If comic fans want to see comics thrive then they should realize that the shows like Smallville and movies like Cap/Thor/Iron Man have the potential to grow the audience for comics.

Finally, more people watched Smallville every week than bought Action Comics/Superman every month. I am not surprised at this attempt to capture the much larger Smallville audience.

I love "Smallville" and I will defend that it's a good show to the biggest hater of this series, but even I knew the finale was a disappointing pile of crap.

I don't want a Season 11 in comic book form like "Buffy: The Vampire Slayer" has gotten "seasons" since it left TV. I want a Season 11 of "Smallville" on The CW because:

a.) The series finale really, REALLY sucked! From Daniel Clamp being possessed by a smoke-being Darkseid and Green Arrow killing Darkseid's minions with his arrows, to Tess dying and wiping out Lex's memories before she croaks, the reasons why the finale stunk go on and on.
b.) What else is Tom Welling doing? I've seriously lost track of the guy.
c.) Is anyone REALLY going to tell me they didn't love Erica Durance as Lois Lane? Or Michael Rosenbaum as Lex Luthor? Or Michael McKean as Perry White? Bring them all back!
d.) We need a show about SUPERMAN again. The first few seasons were perfect, but the show was never quite the same once Jonathan Kent died, and then with each season, you'd just wish they'd stop teasing us and stretching out the wait till Clark could fly and put on the blasted suit. Plus, for Season 11, no more Green Arrow. This isn't shouldn't be the story of Clark and Oliver anymore, it should be about CLARK/SUPERMAN.
e.) Is anyone REALLY going to watch that "Bourne-type" Green Arrow show The CW is planning? I mean, seriously, are you guys? Show of hands who'd rather see Superman on The CW over Green Arrow.

The show should come back on the air and should be called "Metropolis". Of course, it SHOULD have been called "Metropolis" once they started using everyone from Doomsday and Metallo to Zod and the guest heroes, but I digress.

I might pick up the comics, but I'd rather have a Season 11 on the air for the sole purpose of getting Tom Welling into what he hates the most: the Superman suit.
