You may have already seen a few snippets of dialog from this rumored scene description from the Man Of Steel shoot at Edward’s Airforce Base in California, but here is the full thing. It originated at Nukethefridge, but now Latino Review have added a few extra details that make it sound a bit more plausible. Apparently someone from Nukethefridge was on set to witness this scene up close and personal..

“The scene is set up in the bases’ proving grounds, vast dried flat lands as we spy a barricade of some sort. Concrete military dividers form a crude wall as soldiers and Tanks gather with all weapons prone in one direction: the other side of the wall. Who’s on the other side, none other then Superman and Faora: General Zods wife. She is indeed sporting a black alien uniform, her hair sleek back, draping down to a long black cape as it blows in the desert wind. She and Superman then walk over to a vast technical array of lighting rigs, camera dollies and a massive green screen: his own red cape dancing on the winds as dust is kicked up in their path. From this point the footage takes a page from ‘Chronicle’ as it spins and falls, tucked away by the mystery cameraman as everything goes black..

I understand the scene was the film's…or rather, Earth’s military force meeting with Zod’s own force to strike some sort of deal. So, besides Faora and Kal-El, what other alien presence was on the other side of that wall? A Kryptonian ship apparently, hence the giant green screen. Various Military Vehicles and 200 military soldiers are prone, all in formations as if ready to stand off as they wait for TWO female Kryptonians to land their ships. Among them is Faora as she walks past Superman himself, standing and ever ready. Faora then walks over to Colonel Hardy who stands with his men behind the barricade as she begins to speak"

The dialog included is nothing special, but could be legit. Basically it deals with Faora demanding that Lois Lane accompany her to meet Zod, Superman and Colonel Hardy objecting, and Lois then agreeing to go peacefully. To read it and the entire report click the link below. So what do you think, is this an actual scene description or just some fan fic based on what we have seen from set pics etc?

I still hate that costume. Hope it looks better on screen.
HelaGood - 2/17/2012, 7:18 AM
im skeptical...
RealGothamite - 2/17/2012, 7:21 AM
Costume looks good, it's a great update on the classic costume we all know.

Red undies had to go as they look stupid, the material looks quality too.

When this goes to the big screen, Superman will truely have have returned.
MB007 - 2/17/2012, 7:24 AM
Costume is fine, hope this is the Superman movie we have all been waiting for! :-)
MarvelousMarty - 2/17/2012, 7:25 AM
I watched Immortals last night, now I'm excited for this. I think he's gonna do well.
SimyJo - 2/17/2012, 7:26 AM
That green Smallville Sentinel van in the background, I think Faora must backhand Supes and he goes crashing into it, because there was a set photo of that Van and the side of it was caved-in like something big hit it at speed.

i hate the pattern down the side of Superman's costume, and the belt looks stupid. If they just got rid of that pattern, used the DCnU Superman belt, and made the red actually red and not dark pink, that'd be the perfect Superman suit.
theangrytroll - 2/17/2012, 7:29 AM
Costume is crap. Movie still has a chance to be good, but the costume will always look like something designed by a slow 6-year old.
monstalova - 2/17/2012, 7:33 AM
Hopefully it realy is a different take on superman, something that hasn't been explored b4. Please do this movie right! Thers only so many times i can watch superman 1 and 2 :-) maybe sum parts of 3...
Kayo - 2/17/2012, 7:36 AM
costume is negatory
Greengo - 2/17/2012, 7:36 AM
Sounds kind of meh.
KNIGHT3000 - 2/17/2012, 7:39 AM
I can picture Amy Adams making a stupid decision like that.
KNIGHT3000 - 2/17/2012, 7:43 AM
That picture makes the new 52 Ceremonial Armor suit look awesome. They should have made that for the movie instead of that weird design that looks like it could peel at any minute. It really stands out. And I like the red belt better.
monstalova - 2/17/2012, 7:45 AM
When i first heard that they might get rid of the red undies i was against it. Then i saw sum artwork and began to change my mind. Now im so glad they did it! Every character has to change with the times - i think the costume looks great!

"I am incapable of emotion"? Who writes this stuff?
rbfn04 - 2/17/2012, 7:48 AM
Costume is shitty. Poor design all over. Too dark too. Stupid black lines. Bracelets????? He ain't WW or Overman...
Boyle360 - 2/17/2012, 8:01 AM
@TwilightHunter
His GROIN can't be big. The groin is the space of skin between the genitals and the leg.
nailbiter111 - 2/17/2012, 8:25 AM
doesn't sound that interesting. not buying.
PeterParker1991 - 2/17/2012, 8:33 AM
Can't wait to see this. This is gonna be the Super-man movie I've been waiting for my entire life. Bring it!
valeriesghost - 2/17/2012, 9:04 AM
sounds interesting. I wonder where the Alien ship comes from
QuietStorm - 2/17/2012, 9:13 AM
Why does Cavill's legs and feet look so weird in this set pic? I've always meant to ask that on here.
thewolfx - 2/17/2012, 9:15 AM
before i hated this suit

now its kinda growing on me unlike the new spiderman suit, sadly thats just horrible design period

butthis superman suit really needs a red belt with a yellow buckle.
QuietStorm - 2/17/2012, 9:21 AM
@Just1SuperGuy Thanks. But the cape doesn't go to his heels, the cape is blowing at an angle. I dunno, maybe it's just blurry. Ah well. Can't wait for some official stuff. Thanks tho.
QuietStorm - 2/17/2012, 9:23 AM
I'm not keen on the red belt. I mean what is its purpose? It's not holding anything and the suit is basically a unitard or of spandex so I'm ok with the pattern around the waist.
rbfn04 - 2/17/2012, 9:30 AM
@QuietStorm I always thought his arms looked weird in that pic. T-Rex arms...

What's the pattern's purpose? Just look ugly? Why the cape? We saw what happens with capes in The Incredibles...
thewolfx - 2/17/2012, 9:30 AM

hope she makes the sequel
Fogs - 2/17/2012, 9:56 AM
Movie's gonna rock.
QuietStorm - 2/17/2012, 10:32 AM
@rbfm04 yea I'm with u. Something just isn't right. It's like a cardboard cut out, or dupe is bring wheeled out on something. Ah well. Bring on an official poster with logo!
thewolfx - 2/17/2012, 10:55 AM
@rokker

same here

its a shame how many people in hollywood need glasses .
hoodedjester - 2/17/2012, 11:01 AM
shiny suit
rbfn04 - 2/17/2012, 11:05 AM
@QuietStorm as much as I hate the MoS suit, I love the old school type logo.
rbfn04 - 2/17/2012, 11:26 AM
@RedBlue sure, a audioVISUAL medium like a movie and the way he looks don't matter. Ok...
LP4 - 2/17/2012, 11:44 AM
To me, mainly the belt region of the suit seems odd, being that there is no actual belt. But eh...maybe it will look better when we see the final product eventually. I don't know, I just wanna stay optimistic. Only thing I care about at this stage is whether or not Lex can appear- and I HOPE he will ;)
LP4 - 2/17/2012, 11:48 AM
But I agree with my old bud rbfn04 that the visual aspects DO matter.

That is why I got significantly less excited as *certain castings* got announced.

Hopefully us fans can be appeased.
Colorist - 2/17/2012, 12:24 PM
I will probably see this movie, as it is after all, a Superman film. But the whole thing about Superman is trust and accessibility, and I doubt if most of the ticket buying public will accept him as some armor wearing, aloof ALIEN. With this new costume and attitude, he seems to be distancing himself from humanity, and in my mind, that just ain't Superman. Sure, he's a badass, but in a quiet, confident way that's comforting, not off-putting. So there.
7frames - 2/17/2012, 12:41 PM
@QuietStorm I think he's actually standing on something red in that picture. Looks like there's a guy behind him also. Maybe he is being wheeled out haha.
QuietStorm - 2/17/2012, 1:44 PM
@7frames I knew i wasnt crazy haha. maybe its to immulate him kinda "floating" forward ya know? I dunno. we'll see when the film comes out.
rbfn04 - 2/17/2012, 1:50 PM
@LP4 whatup, homie. Well, I made myself clear where I stand when it ocmes to Supes. Yeah, maybe I'm a little bit too conservative. But, I'm not a fun of most choices this crew is making.

@Colorist RIGHT ON, man. Right on.
LP4 - 2/17/2012, 3:51 PM
@rbfn04- Heyyyy buddy, no worries man I agree with you actually. The belt region needs work, if they wanna avoid an actual belt then they need to put SOME type of red or yellow there. No excuse for it ;)

And yeah they veered away from the comics a bit too much in regards to the castings.

But hey- we're fans. We will always nitpick lmao =D
LP4 - 2/17/2012, 3:53 PM
@Banekill- No worries bud, I too had no idea Faora was actually Zod's WIFE. I figured she was just another uber feminist follower of Zod, like Ursa.
