Collider have just posted a very interesting and revealing interview with Marvel head honcho Kevin Feige. In it he speaks about various Marvel projects which are in development, including Iron Man 3 and Captain America 2, but he drops the most information on the Thor sequel. Feige says that ALL of the cast from the last movie will be back, and also..

Filming on Thor 2 begins in three months in London and it picks up where the first film left off in terms of Jane and Odin. Thor 2 also addresses what’s been happening in the nine realms with the Asgardians unable to use the Bifrost. Loki has a part in Thor 2, but there will be a different, big villain. The crux of Thor 2 is continuing the dynamic between Thor and Jane, as well as the relationship between Thor and Odin.

As for the Captain America sequel, apparently they are still working on how much flashback to include, but it will be set primarily in present day with Cap still a part of S.H.I.E.L.D. He says Iron Man 3 will be "inspired by the first half of Iron Man 1 in that they’re metaphorically putting Tony back in the cave. He’s stripped of everything, back against a wall, and has nothing but his intelligence to get him out". Feige also reveals that there have been ongoing talks regarding an animated Disney/Marvel movie, there are currently no plans for Mark Ruffalo to reprise the role of The Hulk in a solo movie, and although Edgar Wright hasn't filmed anything for Marvel yet, Feige urges fans to pay attention to Wright’s tweets in the coming weeks because “that might change.”

So who do you think this new villain could be? Both Enchantress and The Executioner have been rumored in the past. It's a terrific interview so be sure to click on the link below to check it out in full.

Dynamo - 4/12/2012, 6:00 PM
Please let it be Surtur!
Knightrider - 4/12/2012, 6:03 PM
So is this taking place before Avengers?
Denn1s - 4/12/2012, 6:04 PM

er101 - 4/12/2012, 6:09 PM
What about Dr Strange? :(
superotherside - 4/12/2012, 6:19 PM
Awesome.

What it sounds to me about Thor 2:
It takes place after Avengers. Because of Odin using the "dark powers" (Enchantress, Infinity Gauntlet) to get Thor to earth to bring back Loki in Avengers, evil has been stirring in the nine realms. Since the Asgardian's sort of over see of the universe, the they are very limited to what they can do without the bridge. So someone stirs up all the races and they attack Asgard.

At least something like that I hope. :)
SuspenseSmith - 4/12/2012, 6:19 PM
How the [frick] do you misspell Odin? There's like four letters in it.
ThreeBigTacos - 4/12/2012, 6:22 PM
Wait, didn't we know this already? Any who, still awesome news!
SpideyQuad - 4/12/2012, 6:22 PM
For you guys that have been worried about Capt. America's helmet, wait till you see the Batman's.

He looks like the leader or that guy in Green Lantern!
Wildaniel - 4/12/2012, 6:23 PM
OK, so Thor 2 takes place before The Avengers?

Bring on...

DONT FORGET ABOUT...

SpideyQuad - 4/12/2012, 6:24 PM
As for Thor 2, I was hoping for Mangog along with the recorder!
13echo - 4/12/2012, 6:25 PM
So its pretty safe to say that the bad guy gets away in the avengers.....
ThaMessenger07 - 4/12/2012, 6:27 PM
I want to see Thor fight so many different baddies that it doesn't even matter...
MARVELFAN1995 - 4/12/2012, 6:27 PM
@Knightrider Why would it take place before Avengers?
brandonthejuggernaut - 4/12/2012, 6:27 PM
Surtur!
Gerrit - 4/12/2012, 6:28 PM
No Beta Ray Bill. And damnet!!! Ruffalo for Hulk solo movie!!!!!!
MakioGrant - 4/12/2012, 6:29 PM
So no Thor and Sif relationship well doesn't matter.

Bring it ... but I need a Hulk solo sequel !!!
GUNSMITH - 4/12/2012, 6:29 PM
AlexDeLarge87 - 4/12/2012, 6:30 PM
Executioner and Enchantress if you ask me.
Surtur would be awesome too thou.
marvel72 - 4/12/2012, 6:34 PM
surtur, hela, the enchantress & the excutioner would all be worthy additions.

don't forget balder the brave this time round.
zippiesdrainage - 4/12/2012, 6:35 PM
I'm sure Thor 2 will be after Avengers, nobody said that the bridge was fixed before Avengers. If Loki can get to Earth without the bridge, so can Thor.
AlexDeLarge87 - 4/12/2012, 6:36 PM
If they make Surtur look something like Tim Curry as Darkness that would be [frick]ing awesome.
They just need the right actor for the role.
bane187 - 4/12/2012, 6:37 PM
EnChantress and ex
AlexDeLarge87 - 4/12/2012, 6:37 PM
[frick] NO for giant CGI Surtur!!
Vision91 - 4/12/2012, 6:39 PM
I think they'll have the enchantress being strung along by Loki being promised Thor's love if she helps him summon Ymir or Surtur to Earth to destroy the planet he wants vengeance on. So Thor must defeat the Executioner and Amoral imprisoning Loki in the room without doors and Thor should realize he and Jane can never truly be together so he must end their relationship and pursue one instead with Sif
Vision91 - 4/12/2012, 6:41 PM
And Balder should be in it played by Liam Hemsworth
JDUKE25 - 4/12/2012, 6:41 PM
Sounds awesome. Can't wait
zachman2013 - 4/12/2012, 6:41 PM
dont put tony back in a cave, that would be dumb, we have already seen that, marvel.
RorMachine - 4/12/2012, 6:43 PM
That was meat metaphorically Zachman.
RorMachine - 4/12/2012, 6:43 PM
*meant
Cocol0ssal - 4/12/2012, 6:44 PM
Hmmm...like most CBMers always wondered what role Darcy played in Thor apart from comic relief. Well here's my wild stab in the dark... Enchantress = Darcy....dun,dun,dun....
AlexDeLarge87 - 4/12/2012, 6:45 PM
KamenRider@ Couldnt agree more!
stuff2say - 4/12/2012, 6:49 PM
Charlize Theron as Enchatress and Nathan Jones as The Executioner
SageMode - 4/12/2012, 6:49 PM
ALEXDELARGE87

Wildaniel - 4/12/2012, 6:50 PM
WE NEED A THOR AND SIF RELATIONSHIP!!!

ckal - 4/12/2012, 6:50 PM
[frick] Jane. Don't care about that whatsoever. Wish her role was just substituted with Sif entirely so we can focus entirely on the 9 realms. I don't want to see Thor on earth again.
TheIconicMan - 4/12/2012, 6:50 PM
Do you know who would be a great Enchantress? Lena Headey of Game of Thrones...
BIGBMH - 4/12/2012, 6:53 PM
It makes sense that they're not just dropping Jane, but I'd rather not see Thor on Earth much this time.
Dynamo - 4/12/2012, 6:54 PM
Surtur should be a mix of CGI and Practical effects. Parts of him should be constantly on fire.
THORGodOfThunder - 4/12/2012, 6:56 PM
Already stoked for THOR 2!
PeterDarker121 - 4/12/2012, 6:59 PM
....using my seldom-used Twitter account...typing in...Edgar...Wright...right now....
NeoBaggins - 4/12/2012, 7:01 PM
Beta Ray Bill. But not, just, yet.
Roland - 4/12/2012, 7:01 PM
The actors in these Marvel movies have got to be getting tired! Its like back to back filming!!!!
JDUKE25 - 4/12/2012, 7:05 PM
@Roland if millions of dollars was the pay, "tired" wouldn't be in my vocabulary. Bring on the money!!!
JDUKE25 - 4/12/2012, 7:14 PM
@grif that would be pretty epic.
GreyChaos13Zero - 4/12/2012, 7:19 PM
SuspenseSmith - 4/12/2012, 7:27 PM
@Bastard

Surely fans' reactions to the new Hulk in Avengers will push that forward a lot more. Don't worry, we'll get another Hulk movie. It'll probably be the last film before Avengers 2 I am guessing.

And ANT MAN!!! Just do it already.
Supes17 - 4/12/2012, 7:28 PM
Of course they aren't going to kill Loki...
He has been the best villain of any Marvel Studios film to date
