Androids (or artificial people as they prefer to be called!) have been a staple of the Alien film series since Ridley Scott first memorably introduced Ash (Ian Holm) in his first film. Since then we have had Bishop (Lance Henrickson) and Call (Winowna Ryder), and in Scott's upcoming prequel we meet David (Michael Fassbender). In the first viral video for Prometheus, Peter Weyland (Guy Pearce) discussed the massive technological leaps and bounds made in the future in which the story is set, including the creation of artificial life. Here we witness the "birth" of the very first android..

Ridley Scott, director of 'Alien' and 'Blade Runner,' returns to the genre he helped define. With 'Prometheus', he creates a groundbreaking mythology, in which a team of explorers discover a clue to the origins of mankind on Earth, leading them on a thrilling journey to the darkest corners of the universe. There, they must fight a terrifying battle to save the future of the human race.

Prometheus will be with us June 8th.
