ComradeGrey - 5/15/2012, 6:15 AM
It's not multiple aliens, it's one alien. Specifically it's Tom Hardy's character after he's been transformed in the Space Jockey.
R888 - 5/15/2012, 6:17 AM
Lol tea

Alien cookie monster
RorMachine - 5/15/2012, 6:18 AM
Tom hardy's not in it, and, there was more than one type of creature in that spot.
R888 - 5/15/2012, 6:21 AM
can someone do a youtube version
Rodimus9 - 5/15/2012, 6:23 AM
The space jockey is a parasitic life form and the face jiggers are a mutated form of his people, which is why earth was populated...for hosts.....I'm guessing.
Rodimus9 - 5/15/2012, 6:24 AM
Huggers, not jiggers....LOL!
Darantino - 5/15/2012, 6:26 AM
The Space Jockey is an alien lifeform himself who is just on the same planet and wants to leave when thngs turn bad. This is how I understood it from the trailers.
Rodimus9 - 5/15/2012, 6:32 AM
The space jockey is in charge of waiting until the human race reaches the point of intelligence to where they achieve long distance space flight so they make a good host, hence the "invitations" found on earth.

AlexDeLarge87 - 5/15/2012, 8:12 AM
NICE!8)

Cant wait to see this!
Gonna be the best movie of this year!... At least my favorite!

BTW I remember reading somewhere that its Logan Marshall-Green´s character who change into a creature with Theron´s character and they have a big match.
Not sure if true thou?!
ralfinader - 5/15/2012, 8:14 AM
I could tell Tom Hardy wasn't in this, all the dialogue was perfectly understandable.
AlexDeLarge87 - 5/15/2012, 8:14 AM
Im sure there is going to be more than just two who change.

Anyway that these "Space Jockey" creatures are going to be real menace!:)
Xionn - 5/15/2012, 8:19 AM
@ralfinader lol what a fool. What has Tom Hardy got to do with that. Its the mask that he wears which muffles the voice. Have you not seen Tom Hardy in The Take, Warrior, Bonson, Inception, Wuthering Heights...
Fogs - 5/15/2012, 8:20 AM

Unionjack - 5/15/2012, 8:48 AM

TheMyth - 5/15/2012, 8:57 AM
If you've seen too much of ANY movie via it's coverage, you've none to blame but yourself for combing the internet and subjecting yourself to every tidbit. Believe it or not I know people who only found out recently that the next Batman movie is out this year and that the Spider-Man flic is a reboot. It's us geeks that inundate ourselves with this info, so bitching that you've "already seen too much" is pretty [frick]in' dumb considering it's your own fault.
ComicBookMoveRocks - 5/15/2012, 9:07 AM
This movie is not going to beat The Avengers! Avengers is the best movie since The Godfather!
NeoBaggins - 5/15/2012, 9:18 AM
I was scared, then Idris made it funny.
Shadowelfz - 5/15/2012, 10:02 AM
Looks cool. I like how they are incorporating other alien types in the Aliens universe.
AlexDeLarge87 - 5/15/2012, 10:07 AM
You people bashing Alien 3 and 4 even they are hundred times better than any crap which comes out these days.
I love the whole Alien saga.
kman - 5/15/2012, 10:20 AM
HEAVY SPOILERS!!! DO NOT READ IF YOU DONT WANT TO BE SPOILED.

No, David is not the alien nor will he "turn" into an alien. He's a robot for God's sake. It's not going to turn him into a "real boy"....this isn't Pinocchio.

David is probably going to turn on the crew because his loyalties lie with Weyland Corporation, who we all know has only one interest in mind (just like in Aliens)....the creatures....all crew are expendable in the process.

The Alien in the suit, which is pictured twice above, is one of the Engineers... That much is a fact. The Engineers ARE the Space Jockeys. They put on the suit/mask which has a "trunk" like snout coming down when they are about to travel through space. It their version of a space-suit.

The alien that pops up out of the liquid, which is snake-like, is an "early version" of the face-huggers....except in this case the creature bites or possibly even spits acid on the suit, crawls into the suit, into the helmet and inserts itself into host's mouth....possibly inserting another egg.....or, more likely, inserting some sort of infection that begins to change the host into something else. The reason why I say this is because its already known that Charlie Holloway is infected by something during the same scene. My guess is he is infected and then later has sex with Shaw, therefore impregnating her with an alien creature...while changing himself. There will be people, NOT David, who change physically because of this other than Holloway....Fifield being one of them. Fifield (the dude with the crazy hair and tattoos on side of head) will change into something evil for sure. What? I dont know....but he does change.

Therefore, right there you have 4 different types of "creatures"....the snake-face-hugger, The Engineers, The alien that is surgically removed from Shaw and the mutated humans, Holloway and Fifield (and possible others).

Not to mention there will HAS to be a creature that bursts out of the engineers (the first xenomorph, perhaps?) because Ripley and her crew found the Engineer/Space Jockey with a hole in it's chest and bones bent out.

kman - 5/15/2012, 10:22 AM
@bagadoosh - Are you kidding? The first draft was a disgrace! It was monks in space on a WOODEN, man-made planet....similar to a death-star. DUMBEST IDEA EVER.
RorMachine - 5/15/2012, 10:31 AM
Goomba, I assume that's carrying over from the TDKR article? Anyway, so what? He looked like the Ultimate comics..was it the Ultimate Avenges movie? I remember when he was first announced as being a part of the movie, the absolute uproar and fantrums thrown. Same as there always is when impatient, purist fans get on their high horse before a movie is even out and assume it will suck because of how a character LOOKS, or who has been cast. Go back and see some of the old articles on this site..

Ledger cast as Joker, he will wear facepaint = "Ugh, gonna suck ugh"

Chris Evans cast as Captain America = "Ugh, Human Torch as Cap? Ugh"

RDJ as Tony Stark = "Ugh, [frick]in junkie, nothing like the character, ugh"

The list goes on and on. 99% of the time those same fans are back on the boards proclaiming how much they loved the movie in the end, completely washing over how [frick]ing hypocritical they were until the next instance arises for them to bitch and moan about something they don't like about how a movie is being adapted. I actually find it hilarious that fans STILL haven't learnt to shut the hell up and wait and see what the movie is going to be like before writing it off.

Rant over:)
Greengo - 5/15/2012, 10:47 AM
That was a nice rant @RorMachine : )
Greengo - 5/15/2012, 10:48 AM
Video is gone : (
Nubase - 5/15/2012, 10:51 AM
@kman

l think your onto something with green character being infected and having sex with shaw which leads to her being infected with the scene in the trailers showing something moving in her belly but l think the trailers has been carefully put together to make us all think we all got the movie sussed out but l think the movie will surprise everyone in the end.
TheHitchhikingGhost - 5/15/2012, 10:54 AM

@bagadoosh - Sorry man, that comment wasn't aimed at you. I dont mind Alien 3, either. Let me repost it to who it was actually meant for.

@Goomba - Are you kidding? The first draft was a disgrace! It was monks in space on a WOODEN, man-made planet....similar to a death-star. DUMBEST IDEA EVER.
