Details Of IRON MAN 3 Set Piece Reveal BIG Problems For Tony Stark

It seems Tony Stark will be looking for a new place to call home if the following information is on the level. A picture from the set of Iron Man 3 reveals Stark's Malibu apartment built on mechanical stilts to elevate it from the floor..

You may also remember info leaked about a large water tank being present on set? Well now we know why. According to an anonymous LR source, all of this points to the complete destruction of Stark's "mansion" as it crumbles into the ocean..

“After the leaked set construction photo that appeared on the “Reddit” website comes word that the set is actually built on a very sophisticated gimbals system. This is a set up for total destruction. How do you fight a super hero? Hit him in the most sacred place….his home… villains of Iron Man 3 hit Tony Stark and hit him hard enough for his mansion to fall into the Pacific ocean.”

Sounds pretty spectacular. Iron Man 3 stars Robert Downey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Guy Pearce, Rebecca Hall, Ashley Hamilton, James Badge Dale, Sir Ben Kingsley and Jon Favreau. The movie is set for release may 3rd, 2013.

Interesting. All out battle at Casa de Stark?
superotherside - 6/27/2012, 7:35 AM
Ouch. Stark is going to be mad at the bad guys in this one. I mean seriously how many times has he repaired his houses now? Every film? Now they just shove the house in the water after he just rebuilt it? He's lucky he has billions to pay for all that stuff!

Still can't wait for Iron Man 3!
MrReese - 6/27/2012, 7:47 AM

Bassman15 - 6/27/2012, 8:06 AM
@Nomis who said the Mandarin did it?
Maxi91291 - 6/27/2012, 8:07 AM
@Nomis Also Lex smashes the Fort. of Solitude, Riddler trashes the batcave, Deacon Frost pays a visit to Blades hideout, Stryker with a strike force invade the X-mansion ... It seems to be disturbingly common

One of the best jobs in Comics - Superhero real estate broker
BattlinMurdock - 6/27/2012, 8:15 AM
If Superman were smart, he'd wear more than glasses.
RorMachine - 6/27/2012, 8:18 AM
JokerEl, why are you talking about Superman in an Iron man article?
MisterFixit - 6/27/2012, 8:19 AM

But the point is that those homes and HQs tend to end up really bad
AlexDeLarge87 - 6/27/2012, 8:27 AM
Seriously they are going to shove his Mansion in the ocean?

Greengo - 6/27/2012, 8:31 AM
Speaking of which... Manbat would violate Spider-man.

Possibly
Fogs - 6/27/2012, 8:34 AM
@BattlinMurdock hahaha true... and if superman were smart he wouldn't be a [frick]in reporter who's always around superman, so people wouldn't say "hey, why's clark always gone when supes appears?"

He'd be no one. He doesn't need a secret identity. He could just be around the orbit all the time, chillin.
Vafrous - 6/27/2012, 8:36 AM
Tony's house looks cool...
Fogs - 6/27/2012, 8:36 AM
@JokerEl - BTW he had his mansion before being captured by the ten rings in IM1. Just sayin'.

And don't forget the fact Stark is cocky as hell. He just doesn't give a shit. He's damn wrong, but that's the way he is :P
TrueRedBlue - 6/27/2012, 8:36 AM
Removing his ego once and for all I suppose? Interesting..
marvel72 - 6/27/2012, 8:40 AM

I'd just kill pepper myself but then again I'm psychotic
sKeemAn - 6/27/2012, 8:45 AM
Thats ok he'll rebuild by the end of the movie
PantherX - 6/27/2012, 8:56 AM
I'm guessing he won't rebuild it, what's to stop it from being destroyed again. Maybe he'll move in to the Avengers Mansion by the end of the film.
BattlinMurdock - 6/27/2012, 8:56 AM
Yes, because Spidey and Bats go maskless without curls in their hair.
Maxi91291 - 6/27/2012, 9:01 AM
@JKM That would be so awesome I cannot even explain how much
MARVELPSYCHO79 - 6/27/2012, 9:04 AM
This sounds good.I think this will be like watching Bruce's family home being destroyed in Batman Begins. This will be a great third movie.
MARVELPSYCHO79 - 6/27/2012, 9:06 AM
What does Superman have to do with this thread?
RunawaysHD - 6/27/2012, 9:07 AM
I thought he lived in the Stark Tower? Didn't he slay his Malibu Mansion after a drunken mess lolz.
Maxi91291 - 6/27/2012, 9:09 AM
Stark Tower is just his NY office and aFter his birthday party the house was most probably rebuild
BattlinMurdock - 6/27/2012, 9:10 AM
I'll refrain from any more Supes comments in this thread.
legolad - 6/27/2012, 9:14 AM
I'm settling this "Superman vs." thing right now
jessepostal - 6/27/2012, 9:24 AM
Do they have super villan coverage in homeowners insurance?
GUNSMITH - 6/27/2012, 9:27 AM
THE THING THAT WAS SEEN BEFORE IN THE OLD DAYS WAS SUPERHEROES ARE PERFECT..NOW IN MARVEL, SUPERHEROES ARENT PERFECT, THEYRE RELATABLE..AND WHAT PEOPLE ARE EVEN MORE DRAWN TO IS WHEN YOU SEE SOMEONE FALL OR SUFFER..BECAUSE A TRUE HERO IS THE ONE THAT FIGHTS HIS WAY BACK UP..HEROISM IS EARNED BY THE "METAL" OF A MAN...THIS WILL BE A GOOD ONE
KobraKai - 6/27/2012, 10:04 AM
Makes my disdain for Iron Man 2 grow even more. This should've been done in the 2nd film. There is absolutely no real sense of danger from the villains. Despite the fact they know his identity. I would've preferred an Iron Man and Whiplash fight instead of that ridiculous fight between Iron Man and War Machine.
Jimdlux - 6/27/2012, 10:22 AM
...So this new director has never seen the first 2 movies then... Stark has no materialistic cares. He's intentionally destroyed his home 3 times now...unless, the are looking for the reaction of "Oh Darn...not again..."
jessepostal - 6/27/2012, 10:38 AM
@jim I highly doubt that ha, maybe there looking for something when they destroy it
BANNER78 - 6/27/2012, 10:40 AM
Well...maybe this is the start of Avengers 2....Starks home destroyed, he then purchases Avengers mansion for the team and his new home?????
Greengo - 6/27/2012, 10:48 AM
@Banner: did you even see Avengers?
hartley07 - 6/27/2012, 11:24 AM
hahah who cares? he destroys his own house all the time just horsin around. and he probably has like 30 all over the world anyway.
OverlyManlyMan - 6/27/2012, 11:28 AM
His home has never been completely destroyed, only partly...this will bring more tension between the villains and Iron man. Bring on Iron Man TRES!
Phlegmbot - 6/27/2012, 11:32 AM
Well, now, I'd say this gives Tony a good excuse to spend more time at Avengers tower....
Equivocal - 6/27/2012, 12:14 PM
the picture for this article is Misleading....

I thought spidey was gonna be in IM3, judging for that spidey glove in the pic...

oh well, destroying the beach house ?
sounds good to me !
Durf - 6/27/2012, 12:49 PM
Tony is going to be pissed! lol. And all of those awesome cars destroyed? :(
PeterDarker121 - 6/27/2012, 12:51 PM
IRON MAN 3 AFTER CREDITS SCENE (wishful thinking)

...and as it lay silent on the ocean floor, the mighty Arc-Reactor that powered his now submerged crib still glows, functions and sets off a powerful, though subtle chain of unintended, destructive changes to the underwater eco-chain throughout the Seven Seas, which catches the attention and arouses the anger of a certain winged-footed warrior a mere 20,000 leagues away...
