Casting Call Goes Out For "Mother Russia" In KICK-ASS 2

The physically imposing female bodyguard of Red Mist will definitely have a role in the sequel to Kick-Ass it seems, as Moviehole got their hands on the following casting call..

Casting directors are on the hunt for a very specific type of lady for Universal's follow up to Mathew Vaughn's Kick-Ass - a big one! Moviehole report that they are currently searching for an actress - “extremely tall, large, fit female of 25 to 40" - to play the par of Mother Russia, bodyguard to the Red Mist character played by Christopher Mintz-Plasse..



"Classic Villain. An ex-KBG officer who is now being paid by the week by Chris to fight in his group — she is easily the most skilled and just a ruthless killer in general. Described as a ‘roided-out female bodybuilder, she needs to be extremely physically imposing and muscular, though still come across as feminine. As tall as possible (6ft and over only). Indicate height on submission.”


Good luck! Jeff Wadlow will direct Kick-Ass 2, which will begin shooting this September in Toronto and London. Aaron Johnson, Chloe Grace Moretz and Plasse are all set to return.

Im skipping this movie. ive read the book and it borders on un-filmable.
I hope they change their minds about this, the original film is probably best as a stand alone to the general audience.
the second book was a cliff hanger to boot, its not even concluded until kickass 3 is finished.

I read a couple of issue of Kick-Ass 2 and found it gratuitous, badly written garbage. I hope to God Wadlow can salvage the story into a good movie as Vaughn and Goldman did for the first one.

and i just did an image search on Chyna... *shudder* she had some work done to her face that looks like hell!

what about Lucy Lawless?? shes not roided out but she could pull the role off seamlessly!!

Gina Carano is beautiful and athletic, but she's not an actor(as much as some people want us to believe). My vote goes for Famke Jensen. At 6ft she has the the height and the talent to pull it off, she just has to bulk up.

does it matter whom they get as long as kickass 2 holds up to the original, you never know even a third would be good and more CMB's like them are always a welcome relief from the bigger movies.

two questions why are some people suggesting attractive women and why are people mentioning acting. This is a role that requires an ugly female bodybuilder that can say about 5 lines.
