"The quiet suburb of Chamberlain, Maine is home to the deeply religious and conservative Margaret White (Moore) and her daughter Carrie (Moretz). Carrie is a sweet but meek outcast whom Margaret has sheltered from society. Gym teacher Miss Desjardin (Greer) tries in vain to protect Carrie from local mean girls led by the popular and haughty Chris Hargenson (Portia Doubleday, Youth in Revolt), but only Chris’ best friend, Sue Snell (Gabriella Wilde, The Three Musketeers), regrets their actions. In an effort to make amends, Sue asks her boyfriend, high school heartthrob Tommy Ross (newcomer Ansel Elgort), to take Carrie to prom. Pushed to the limit by her peers at the dance, Carrie unleashes telekinetic havoc.”

Carrie hits theaters on March 15, 2013.

It wasn't good back then, don't see why it would be any better now. But what the industry is doing. Least the special effects could be better. Rather they just make a proper Jean Grey Origins movie with Patrick Stewart and Cyclops.

Always did feel bad for Carrie, but making a movie demonizing the conservative lifestyle to cover the folly of bad parenting is petty. But then again, that's what the industry does. People like to see controversy and drama. Wether it makes sense or not seems to be beside the point.

I'm very interested to see how they handle this. I enjoyed the original.

She still doesn't look like the shy, retiring, timid and slightly lost Carrie that Sissy Spacek portrayed, but who knows as we see more.

@bizzaronumber1 almost every site shares everyone elses stories,if that didnt happen then you would be going on to all different sites searching for news about a specific film, this is our central for news and I would rather it be on here for me so I didnt have to search google for everything

Carrie, in the book, is fat and ugly.

To quote grif:

"Shit movie.

Bring on the reboot."

Point taken Bizarro. But it the parents make the decision to become an extremist and then bring their child into. Nobody is born an extremist, it's counter intuitive.

Even in times of Nazi germany a lot of people didn't accept the hate toward jews, but life can put us in catch 22's as to how to deal with situations, so either join the army or we imprison you and you're family do God knows what to them.

In Carrie's setting the worst you would deal with is social outcasting. So it's back to the middle then.

Needless remake is needless

I see Sissy Spacek on nearly a daily basis, I'll have to ask whether she's involved in some way in the remake.
sameoldthing - 7/26/2012, 9:21 AM
Why not add some comic book goodness to the film by having Charles Xavier show up & try to recruit her for his team of X-Men?
At his school he can help her harness her telekinetic abilities..

..and Wolverine can have yet another underage girl for him to pal around with..that guy is pervy.
TeeKay - 7/26/2012, 9:27 AM
looks legit
SkunkApe1 - 7/26/2012, 9:29 AM

@ManOfSteel2013, in an odd six degrees kinda way it does... By way of The Dark Tower graphic novel... In Steven King's written universe, all of his stories are interconnected via the "Dark Tower"...
Optimus83 - 7/26/2012, 9:55 AM
I love this Baby Carrie. ...

ManOfSteel- You think the "Lets get sexy girls for horror movies" Is NEW? Seriously? Who are all the victims in the Fridays, or the Nightmare on Elm Streets, or the Halloweens? SEXY TEENAGERS. Studios trying to put sex in horror is as old as horror itself.

As for Carrie being "sexy" Do you know how easy it is to make someone unatractive? Thats what make up effects are for. Like the article said, it's just B-roll footage.
CyberBishop - 7/26/2012, 12:05 PM
The studio pulled the footage...
DioFoRio - 7/26/2012, 12:42 PM
this site is catty as phuq. Love it. They need to have a CBM convention once a year. Get all these whackadoos under one roof and have them just bitch at each other. Anyone see the footage? Got taken down.
REDSTORM - 7/26/2012, 1:54 PM
@Dionysios Grif would be the only survivor. He'd walk in, claim "shit convention", and just walk out.
CharlesTheIncredible - 7/26/2012, 4:48 PM
im actually lookin forward to seein moretz in this. ive never seen any of her serious roles but i know she has potential and has garnered acclaim from a couple of movies she did
BenderdickCumPatch - 7/26/2012, 11:32 PM
@Dionysios - My god that would be epic.
hellfire - 7/27/2012, 8:21 AM
@joker"Do you know how easy it is to make someone unattractive"
Yeah all they have to do is sober up then they jump out of my bed and run screaming "what the [frick] did I do last night"It knocks the confidence a bit I must say

@Dion Yeah you didn't miss much it was her standing by the pool group of girls walk by and one girl stops and say something like wipe that smile off your face. I was expecting someone to push her in but no such luck
