New Behind The Scenes Still From THE LONE RANGER

Check out a new official BTS shot from the movie, featuring Johnny Depp and Armie Hammer as The Lone Ranger and Tonto, as they film a stunt scene that involves the latter chained to the top of a train. And yes, the bird is back!..

According to E! Online, the snap was taken as the duo were filming an elaborate fight scene atop a charging locomotive. Apparently The Lone Ranger is in the process of attempting to free his "faithful Indian companion", who is chained to the train..



The Lone Ranger, directed by Gore Verbinski and featuring Johnny Depp as Tonto and Armie Hammer as John Reid, the Lone Ranger, is a thrilling adventure infused with action and humor in which the famed masked hero is brought to life through new eyes. Native American spirit warrior Tonto recounts the untold tales that transformed John Reid, a man of the law, into a legend of justice—taking the audience on a runaway train of epic surprises and humorous friction as the two unlikely heroes must learn to work together and fight against greed and corruption.


The Lone Ranger is produced by Jerry Bruckheimer and hits theaters May 31, 2013.

That actually looks pretty damn cool. Glad the bird on the head is only one of the costumes for Tonto though.

Ok, I'm starting to get worried for Iron Man III at the box office.

The month of May in 2013 is packed with movies that come out in the weeks following the release of IM3.

May 3 - Iron Man 3
May 17 - Star Trek 2
May 24 - Fast 6 and Hangover Part 3
May 31 - Lone Ranger

As we all probably know now, this movie will more than likely suck. However, Johnny Depp has a HUGE following and people will want to see this for the nostalgia of it.

God help us all.

Wow Johnny Depp as Tonto. Why not make the Lone Ranger a Buffalo Soldier? If your going to screw up a classic might as will go all out.

Daniel Day-Lewis played an Indian in Last of the Mohicans, and he's British and Irish with not a drop of native american blood. I don't remember hearing about people bitching over him playing an Indian. Some of you bleeding hearts need to get over it. At least Depp has some Cherokee in his heritage.

Depp is looking fairly light-complected there for playing a native american role and I still will be bugged if they have him wearing that face paint more often than not.

Have you seen pictures of what Mandarin looks like yet in the film? I haven't. We have seen pictures of Tonto though.

i just got back from hanging out at the perkins in my town and had a conversation with one of the native(real) americans that came down from canada for the Dakota Days that happens once a year. funny guy. told me some jokes about the crazy horse monument. i have such a respect and sympathy for the native american people

looking forward to any media that doesn't display natives in a bad light
