Has Patrick Stewart Confirmed That He Will Be Part Of Another X-MEN Movie?

This is a bit sketchy, because it isn't verbal confirmation! But Stewart definitely suggests that he is on for more X movies, and while the source isn't rock solid, it makes for an interesting read nonetheless. Click for the details..

Bleeding Cool report that a member of the Comic Book Club podcast found himself serving Patrick Stewart in the Apple store where he works. According to them, after conversing with him for a bit he just came right out and asked..

"So, another X-Men movie?"

To which Stewart apparently "nodded".

That's all we got! But still, unless the legendary actor was just messing with the guy, it sounds like Stewart will indeed be a part of another X-flick , propably the planned sequel to X-Men: First Class, "Days Of Future Past", which will most likely link Mathew Vaughn's prequel/reboot with the previous Bryan Singer canon. Many fans already anticipated appearances from some of the cast from the previous movies - Stewart and Ian McKellen specifically - so this might not be too surprising. Anyway, as I said it's not exactly official confirmation. If you want to listen to the podcast for yourselves, click on the link back to Bleeding Cool below.

I hopsies!!!!
kackbratze - 9/19/2012, 6:38 AM
Somehow combining both X-Men movie franchises with time travel has the potential to be uber awesome. But it could also be a [frick]ing disaster...
ATrueHero1987 - 9/19/2012, 6:40 AM
While I liked X-Men: FC and Interested in seeing how they handle the sequel, I'm just not that excited for X-Men movies.
Godzillafart - 9/19/2012, 6:43 AM
So after harassing Stewart at an Apple store, an Uber-Fan got him to nod as a desperate effort to get him out of his non-existent hair.

Hardly a scoop.
Wingding - 9/19/2012, 6:45 AM
Maybe he was just agreeing that another X-men movie is in fact being made. Lol. Or, maybe he IS involved and just nodded so that he wasn't caught letting something slip about details on his involvement.
Giznad - 9/19/2012, 6:48 AM
he probably gets assassinated. This film should combine Days of Future Past with Age of Apocalypse
jimoakley666 - 9/19/2012, 6:57 AM
I just assumed that the 'older' versions would meet the younger. I kinda expected Stewart, McKellen, James Marsden and maybe Hugh Jackman to be in it. Maybe it'll involve Jean Grey being sorted out so the Pheonix and the events of X-Men 3 never happen because with Cyclops, Jean and Xavier dead it could lead onto something really bad happening.
Daken - 9/19/2012, 6:58 AM
Wow... So he nodded... Maybe he knows about DoFP and nodded because yes, THAT one is another X-men movie? lol
RorMachine - 9/19/2012, 6:58 AM
Never said it was a scoop, said it was sketchy and that the source wasn't concrete..it's still worth reporting with a big question mark.
Daken - 9/19/2012, 6:58 AM
@jimoakley666: THIS!
InfiniteMonkey - 9/19/2012, 7:00 AM
Load of bollocks.

He was nodding to shut him up. Either that or he had to poop...
polarkyle - 9/19/2012, 7:00 AM
just make x men 4 already
dezdigi - 9/19/2012, 7:03 AM
I hope this is true!
jessepostal - 9/19/2012, 7:11 AM
He probably didn't hear what the guy said and nodded, I do it all the time and I'm 29, he's 137 years old(coming to America)
Newbus - 9/19/2012, 7:15 AM
I listened to the pod cast and it still doesn't mean he's going to be in another xmen movie

@jessepostal

exactly.

But there is potential to pull a Star Trek and fix the X-Men movies. Trust in.....FOX?

No, no, that's not right. Oh well....

gambgel - 9/19/2012, 7:29 AM
knowing Singer is behind this sequel too, and with a plot such as Days of future past, we can easily expect more than two original actors coming back. And if they end getting 4 or 5 x-men back, it will be a pretty awesome watch, specially being in the future persecuted and fighting with sentinels.

Matthew Vaughn + Singer on the same team = Win

@ captaincool

thanks for the laugh man. made my day.
primeobjective - 9/19/2012, 7:49 AM
He is professor X!!!
LeoAtrox - 9/19/2012, 7:54 AM
Didn't Hugh Jackman's appearance already link Vaughan's series with Singer's?
Godzillafart - 9/19/2012, 7:56 AM
@RorMachine: You definitely laid out all the proper disclaimers...but that doesn't mean you won't get poked fun of a bit!

The story does have a bit of the "My brother in law's friends sister's friend saw Patrick Stewart at the mall and he said....."
Godzillafart - 9/19/2012, 7:58 AM
Oops! My last comment is a repeat of CaptainCool's, who said it better. That will teach me to read all the comments before shooting off my mouth. :)
jessepostal - 9/19/2012, 8:07 AM
How do we know Stewart's amazing at playing Xavier?? We've never seen anyone else play him in that stage of his life.
eleven59 - 9/19/2012, 8:08 AM
he could have just easily just nodded bc he knows they are making another one lol
mr2324jgf - 9/19/2012, 8:10 AM
Channeling grif here... this article is shit. shit article, shit movie.
ProNoob - 9/19/2012, 8:15 AM
CAMEO IN MARVEL UNIVERSE..... LOL...... NEVER HAPPENING TROLOLOL
RorMachine - 9/19/2012, 8:30 AM
You can rip the piss out the story all you like but disrespect me, the article, or its reason fore being in main and you'll be deleted/reported. Zero tolerance for that shit from now on. Don't like it, don't comment.
jessepostal - 9/19/2012, 8:30 AM
@cap, rdj is playing himself to an extent, how hard is that? Of course he's gonna be amazing when the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. Stewart to me plays the same roll in everything. Looks the part sure, but amazing no way. I didn't see a above par performance in any of the x movies
Fogs - 9/19/2012, 8:36 AM
**Patrick Stewart sadly nodded**

"yes..."

Days of Future past is a great chance to fix all of the continuity issues and start the Singer/Origins all over....doing it right!

In fact...I made a trailer about it back in '08 about it, I cant believe it might actually happen...

Stewart's been in every X-Movie so far, except for First Class so it would be kind of shocking if he wasn't in Days Of Future Past, seeing as how it's the time travel one, and of course, a cameo (or more) in The Wolverine is pretty damn likely as well.

But then again, I think most of us probably had the same thoughts without a cryptic 'nod' reported by this guy:

marvel72 - 9/19/2012, 9:02 AM
i just want to see sentinels,f*ck me four x-men films a fifth on the way & not one bloody sentinel.

i'm not including the head in the danger room scene.
StealthPWNAGE - 9/19/2012, 9:08 AM
You know you've made it when nodding becomes headline news! xD
