A while ago we heard that Paramount were interested in Adam McKay to direct their adaptation of the ultra-violent (and ultra everything else) comic series from Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson, but there was never any official word on it. Since then the director has pretty much confirmed that he was interested, and they were trying to make it happen, but all has been quiet for quite a while - until now. A Tweet from Variety's Jeff Schneider has prompted the following reply from McKay..
Although that's still not a definite "moving forward", it's something! Hopefully this happens, as the potential for a really great - completely bat-shit crazy - CBM is there. We'll update with more if we hear anything.
